Queen dared go where few bands ever would dare and for the most part they pulled it off. Bohemian Rhapsody Was their best ever. It is a Rock Opera Before anybody knew what that meant.Bapp3rd

This song begins with some beautiful multi-part harmony (all by the lead vocalist). A piano enters with lyrical accompaniment and at a minute and a half the drums enter. The song has a large, operatic quality, which is emphasized by the ballad-like lyrics. At around three minutes the guitar enters and the song begins to resemble a more traditional rock tune (although thankfully it never truly conforms to that genre). At four minutes it starts rocking, but still has a classical quality. Overall the song preserves some aspects of progressive rock but ultimately remains a unique musical expression.
