I got this for my daughter, and it is her new favorite toy. The only problem, which is fixable but annoying nonetheless, is that the purple decorative ribbon at the top by the drum head is starting to peel off; it was glued in place and is starting to become undone. A little hot glue will fix it, but its bothersome that it was made so poorly. I would buy it again, seeing how much my little one loves it, I just wish they would have adhered the ribbon on a little better.

Must have a different drum than your other evaluators. My God Son loves it and takes great interest in the different sounds produced by hand and the sides of the drum. He is a 2 1/2 year old tiger and the instrument stands up to him though we explain it is a "sit down" instrument. He does like to use the sticks to tap other objects - so he is supervised when using (smile)
Good contruction and a great buy for a first instrument for our toddler.

This is an adorable drum with a nice sound. My only complaint is that the drumsticks are not connected to the drum in any way (though it has little rings from which you can hang them). My baby LOVES the drumsticks (he taps everything with them), but since he can carry them around the house with him, he eventually drops them and then I have to search for them! As I write this, one has been on the lam for several days.
