Customer Reviews

Besides the severity of the symptoms, the duration of the cold is also reduced.

The second time I caught a cold (about a year later), I took Cold Calm, and the next day I woke up feeling fine, like the first time I tried it.

So for you to say something like this and deter someone like myself from giving a product like this a chance is ignorant, just ignorant.

I haven't had a cold in many years, so the morning that I came down with symptoms I headed to the supplement store for more Vitamin C. When I went to the checkout counter I saw a display of some Boiron homeopathic products on the counter, with the Coldcalm getting my attention. I know the Boiron products are good and thought I'd at least give it a shot. I put the box of Coldcalm with my other purchases and the clerk said, "this is good stuff".

I started taking it immediately when I got home, followed the instructions exactly (kept a timer with me so I didn't miss a dosage), and after about 2 1/2 hours my symptoms were completely gone. I went from sneezing and blowing my nose every 15 minutes to no symptoms at all!!

I went back to the store and bought a couple more boxes for other family members. I see it's cheaper at Amazon and will buy from them next time.

I took it close to as recommended on the box...couple times I spaced it 30 minutes. All my cold symptoms went away. As for the rest of my family I wish i had started them on it too. I experimented with my 3 year old and will know better in the morning. So placebo or not so far so good. I will update if changes occur.

I'm aware that the personal testimonial is not an absolute guarantee of a product's effectiveness ("It worked for me, so it HAS to work for you!") - but then again, sometimes it's all you have to deal with. The following review represents my personal experience; your mileage may well vary. Anyway....

I work in a public school, which could easily be described as a germ factory. I caught a cold right around the new year; this cold lasted for a full ten days. I cannot treat colds by taking anything with antihistamines due to my having high blood pressure, so OTC medications were not an option. The only thing I could really do was drink gallons of water, use up about four boxes of tissues, and ride the miserable thing out. At this point, I began researching treatments to see if there was any way I could find a bit of relief for my misery. Based on the reviews here, I decided to purchase a box of Coldcalm and keep it on hand just in case I'd catch a cold in the future. Lo and behold, I caught another cold three days ago (scratchy throat, cough, and stuffiness appeared on Thursday evening). This time, I began the regimen the next day (Friday) once I was certain that what I had was a cold and not something weather-related. I took 2 tablets every fifteen minutes (5 doses in all) for the first hour, then two tablets every two hours as per the box directions. There was no real relief from the stuffiness, but the sore throat subsided. I mention in passing that I was having severe chills throughout the entire day that would only respond to a long, hot shower. That was Day 1 of treatment.

Saturday - I continued to take two tablets every two hours.

I came to conclusion that this actually aggravates cold , congestion, headache.

I had cold with wet cough for over 4 days.. took enough rest along with boiron cold coldcalm (tablet: exp was marked may 2017)

Well I observed that cold/cough was only getting worse until I stopped coldcalm. 1 day after that I was feeling much better then I just took one more coldcalm to realize that it gave me instant little cough as I was dissolving it on my tongue and it increased headache within 10 minutes.

Well if its not the homeopathic ingredients that's causing it then must be the inactive ingredients in it.

I think all boiron products has
Inactive Ingredients:
croscarmellose sodium
lactose
magnesium stearate
I believe both lactose and magnesium stearate could cause unwanted allergic symptoms. In olden days homeopathic medicine use to come in pure sugar pills. I am not sure why they need lactose to make these pills.

Will not recommend Boiron products to any one until they fix their inactive ingredients.

I don't care what anyone says, these do work.
My husband was the lab rat with a horrible cold.
Thinking he was due for another round of antibiotics for a sinus infection that
never wanted to leave I gave him these.
He took these according to directions and by the next day he looked and sounded 100% better.
His nose wasn't stuffy/gross and no more sore throat.
One additional day taking these and he really is better with no issues at all.

I bought these because Chestal worked extremely well for my son.
Boiron products have been great for us so far, I wouldn't hesitate to try another one
if the need arises.

I have used Coldcalm the last 5 or 6 times I started getting a cold and it has stopped it dead in it's tracks each time. I don't know how I lived without it. The symptoms were diminished to "very mild" status. But, you must take as directed. If you don't take every hour or so, symptoms begin to reappear.
