i came to amazon to look for user reviews because i've been taking this most of the past 3 weeks and keep being impressed by the effects, and am wondering if anyone else is getting this kind of result. i've been having a difficult year, some extraordinary changes in working conditions at my job last September, and then just as that started getting back to normal in January, my 89 year old mom's dementia suddenly got much worse and she went from being fairly independent living in her home to being completely dependent on me and not able to live in her home anymore, lots of stress of many different kinds. . Life always has stress, but this was such a high level, and life often has high level stress, but for me, it was different that this stress was so sustained and ongoing, there was no let up, month after month. i took a whole month off from my job just to deal with all the legal, financial and other responsibilities of taking over my mom's life and trying to find a place for her where she could be safe and happy, and find how much support she needed, it was all new to me, i had no idea what i was doing. the stress was continuous and i began to worry about the effect on my body, afraid of developing some kind of chronic inflammatory illness, which i know is a risk associated with the effects of stress. So at the health store, i went to their vitamin section and was looking for something with 'immunity' in the label. I saw this Sedalia, it had the word 'stress' on it. I figured, what the heck, it's $10, i'll give it a try. i had used Boiron Ocillococcinum and had come to believe it was worthwhile, and always keep some on hand for flu or colds. I had also been impressed with the seeming results of using Boiron (and other brand) Arnica Montana for injuries, and also Cuprum Metallicum made by boiron, for foot and leg cramps. So i thought maybe it could help. I took it for about 3 days but wasn't really thinking about it, when i noticed that i was feeling unusually calm for me. I began noticing that in situations where usually i'm pretty uptight and avoidant, i was accepting and ok with what was happening. Then i remembered i was taking this stuff and i thought..."could it actually be helping?" Hard to believe. It's not like valium where you feel drugged, it's subtle, it doesn't seem to have any immediate or direct effect at all, and i didnt' expect it to, but after taking it about three days, i definitely noticed a difference in myself, my level of calmness. Very weird. I stopped taking it because i went through the whole box and ran out. I began noticing my previous more nervous stressed out reactions to things. So i got some more. I called the company and asked how you're supposed to take it, do you just take it until you see improvement and then stop, or should you keep taking it as long as the stressor in your life is still happening. they said i could take it on an ongoing basis, and so i've continued to take it. Day after day i find i'm just rather clearly more calm than i've ever been, it reminds me of something a friend of mine recently said about prozac, he said that after he'd been taking it a couple of weeks, he noticed when he was driving that unlike before, he didn't care if someone cut him off, he was like a relaxed easy going driver. I thought that sounded really good, yet i'm afraid to take drugs like that, afraid of side effects and long term effects. Sedalia seems to have a similar effect, though probably not that strong. I drive a lot on my job and while i am still sometimes competing for that open space in traffic, i have noticed that i am not having the same avoidant attitude that i'm used to having, where i will go out of my way not to make a trip somewhere because i don't want to drive, because i dont' need the stress. Lately i've been free of that feeling and have just readily gotten into the car to go do stuff i might have otherwise procrastinated or not ever done. My situation with my mom is starting to get better, it's almost completely settled down now, just some finishing touches, but nothing like it was for a few months there, and i've considered that this could surely explain why i'm more calm. But one thing is clear, there are ways that i'm calmer now than i ever was before, not just compared to this recent ordeal. So i would really be interested in hearing about other's experiences.

I take these pills when I am feeling particularly distressed or edgy due to overwork or excess stress. I don't want to be grumpy or snappy so I tried the Sedalia and it worked. It didn't make me feel weird or zoned out but it did seem to make me feel relaxed and able to deal with the stressful situation more effectively until it was over. After that I stopped taking them until I felt really stressed again and it worked again. I would recommend these pills to anyone before going onto a prescription drug. They may work quite well for you with out all the side effects and concerns that come with prescription medication.
