As an avid collector of folding knives, I'm always drawn to unusual deployment designs, and the Boker Exskelibur II caught my eye. Although the blade has a small nail nick for conventional two-handed opening, the jimping at the base of the blade doubles as a purchase point for one-handed deployment. No thumb stud(s) or flipper to detract from its sleek shape. The blade is a flat-ground spear point shape, made of 440c steel. The blade length (2 3/4") is perfect for my purpose (everyday carry). The Exskelibur II is strikingly light in weight: 2.2 oz. Since I typically remove the pocket clips on my folding knives, the knife now weighs 1.9 oz. Deployment is butter-smooth, including the liner lock. The pivot screw is adjustable, but requires a special tool (not included) that I'm told is available from Boker. The G-10 handle material has an appealing, but subtle, woodgrain texture that just adds to the overall sleek, minimalist design of this knife. It is a pleasure to carry, and ranks as one of my favorite knives. In fact, its close cousin, the Exselimoor II, Bog Oak Handle, Plain, is high on my list of future knife purchases. I can't recommend the Boker Exskelibur II highly enough to anyone looking for a well-designed, lightweight but solidly built edc pocket knife!

I just got this knife today. It is 56 gms. Great attention to detail. I love the G10 scales with red liner. I will probably remove the clip because it is too much. super blade. It says 440-c on one side and 3845 on the other. Also it says Skellern.

I have a couple of other Boker knives and like their quality. This one, I'm not too sure about. It just seems to have a cheap feel to it. The blade has a small spot on it that wasn't polished fully. It has a feel to it when opening and closing it that just feels, well cheap, not like a knife in this price range should feel like IMO. It is a nice size for EDC, but as someone else said in a review the clip comes tip down which to me is for a lefty, and it's a pain to change it being that the screw heads are phillips head. I do lie the G 10 handles and the blade steel seems good enough, but not sure I would buy it again.

Nice size, good steel, low weight, great blade shape and grind. So why three stars? Well you cannot tighten the pivot without a special five-sided tool (not included) and I quickly developed side-to-side blade wiggle which I can't address. Plus the pocket clip uses tiny Phillips head screws rather than torx or hex screws, and by the time I reversed the pocket clip they were stripped to the point that I probably won't be able to take the clip off again if I want to. A shame the details on this knife were under thought as it is great in the hand.
