5.0 out of 5 stars Pocket Perfection

The blade is small, but highly functional. The thumbstuds make for easy opening. However, the knife is small, so one may need to practice opening it, initially. Despite it being diminutive, one can truly grip this knife. It can be used as a money clip and is light-weight. The knife is great to look at and even better to use. I payed $35 for it. I would...

2.0 out of 5 stars Manufacture Defect. Likely a returned product resold.
I received the envelope in regular mail. Inside it was just a tiny box without receipt or paper from vendor. I opened the box, the instruction sheet and warranty were refolded and misfolded. The plastic bag was all wrinkled. The knife was dirty, with prints all over it. The edge of the biggest screw hole on top was very rough and unpolished. However, the blade came very...

This is my favorite knife and I carry it with me everywhere. It is small and thin and fits almost perfectly in the coin pocket of my jeans, where I keep it clipped. The clip is strong and I don't foresee it losing any strength in the future. The design itself is beautiful - the titanium handle is gorgeous. Mine got scratched up quite a bit because it used to ride beside one of my tools, but it added character and now the knife just looks badass. I will say this, though. Because it's small it may be difficult to open for some. I have small hands and I had to practice to open it with one hand, but eventually I got the hang of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great knife, February 2, 2011

This is an incredible knife. For those who don't know, it was created as a tribute to the success of the other knives in the Boker Subcom series, and in my opinion this is the best one yet.

The finish is incredible. There's really no other way to put it. Yes, it is titanium with two tones as featured, though I will say, the second tone is much lighter than it looks in the picture. The second tone is more like a dark, metallic grey. The thumb studs are great, much better than the thumb studs on the original Subcom series (in my opinion). It does take some practice to open this knife with one hand quickly and consistently, but it eventually becomes second nature.

The knife fits perfectly in the hand and sits well in the pocket, I can't even feel it weighing me down. Very thin and light. The blade (1 7/8" for those who don't know) comes nice and sharp out of the box. The knife also comes with an Allen wrench, which can be used to remove the clip or adjust anything else as you see fit.

Whether you're considering this knife for show, utility, EDC (every day carry), etc...I highly recommend it. The quality is top notch, and for the price, this is a steal.

One final note: I see the price is fluctuating quite a bit. For those on a budget, you might want to consider looking at another website...plenty of places sell these for anywhere from $30-$35. If Amazon is your only option, buy it anyway; I'd pay a hundred for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Boker Plus Subcom Titan Pocket Knife, February 6, 2012

Great knife. A little pricey but you get what you're paying for: a solid, sharp, titanium sub-com blade that fits easily in your wallet completely concealed. It's a little weighty for wallet carry, but that's because its sold and well made. Great to carry in a purse, or european man-bag if that's your thing. I carry mine in my wallet, in the zippered change pocket but it fits well in my credit card slots too. Takes a little practice to get the one-handed opening down, hard to close one handed, but a pretty good sized thick blade with a deep sweep for being so small. Haven't tried walking it through a metal detector in the wallet yet, but will be trying that soon just to see since I've had some other small blades pass them without alarm.

5.0 out of 5 stars boker plus subcom titan, February 3, 2012
This review is from: Boker Plus Subcom Titan Pocket Knife
I research the hell out of my products and looked at tons in this category so I had really high expectations for this one. Great little knife. Full REAL titanium handle and clip. Great grip and action. I took off the clip, filed down the edges and bead blasted it so it's nice and rounded(was precision cut, so it has a perfect 90 degree angle on it which can be a little sharp). People complain about how tight the clip is... Bend it out a tad and problem is solved. Super sharp, tiny, and light weight. So happy with this purchase.. Lets just hope I don't lose the little guy. Only downfall- made in frikkin China

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool little knife!, September 15, 2011

This is a really cool little knife. The "defect" the other reviewer mentions is the portion of the titanium handle that must move to lock the blade open - its NOT a defect. Boker has designed it this way.

2.0 out of 5 stars Manufacture Defect. Likely a returned product resold., August 26, 2011

However, the blade came very sharp. I was going to accept it anyways but I turned to the back and felt a protrusion on the back scale. I looked from the side and found a half-moon shaped hole as if the scale was drilled from the side with a large drill bit. It makes the scale so thin that the protrusion can be felt from the surface. Obviously a manufacture defect.

The blade opens tight. It can be flicked open with thumb disk (ladies, it will scratch your thumbnail). When the knife is held tight the frame lock crackled. The blade is well made 440c and came very sharp. The bottom jimping is a bit rough to hold but provides a good grip. The pocket clip is very very tight. The scale design is not very contrasty, but the grooves do look slightly darker at an angle. This knife is a fingerprint magnet.

This knife receives good review in many places, but I am so disappointed with the QA of my copy. I am returning it.

When I order anything for myself I try to also get something my wife might like as well. I did very well getting her this little knife because she is crazy about it.. I think she has three knives in her purse now.
