A Stunning Work of Art,
By A Customer
This review is from: Boker Titanum 6-Inch Titanium Chef's Knife with Crystallized Blade (Kitchen)
This knife while stunning to look at, lacks the weight to make it a functional piece of cutlery. This knife is ideal for vegetables, poultry and other light chores.

All Show & No Go: When Form Has Nothing to do with Function,
By Brian "bds4348" (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Boker Titanum 6-Inch Titanium Chef's Knife with Crystallized Blade (Kitchen)
Boker makes excellent knives, but I don't know what they were thinking when they came up with this joke.It is too light to be used as a serious chef's knife. Chef's knives are all about heft, weight, and balance. The handle is a joke. Again, it looks pretty, but is all but non-functional. The blades flexes. Find me another professional-grade chef's knife that flexes. Trust me, you won't. A good knife blade will be thick and rigid, excpet of course for boning, filet, and other specialty knives. For the money, you would be much better off going with a J.A. Henckels or Wusthof chef's knife. This thing is pathetic. |
