Product Description

The traditional Japanese Kiridashi knife was originally made for carving or cutting little branches. Todd Begg's modern interpretation of this ancient concept provides tactical applications as well. The polished razor sharp chisel grind edge cuts like a beast and makes it a great utility or back-up knife. A curved handle (stonewash finished) with deep thum notches provides a super secure grip under all circumstances. Superior carrying comfort is achieved by the slim profile. Blade steel of this solid one-piece construction is 440C stainless. Thickness: 3.7mm. Overall length: 5 1/8-Inch. Cutting edge length: 1 3/4-Inch. Weight: 2 oz.

This is a great way to grab a Begg piece at a good price. I love Todd Begg's pierced blade motif, which is nicely replicated on this Boker piece. A very artisitic take on the kiridashi, nice chisel grind, ergonomic grip, works great as a neck knife. The kydex sheath holds it securely, but isn't the best design and is tough to get the blade centered into it unless you pay close attention.
