I gotta say, I'm a big fan of Vikter. His work with DJ Kicks, Jazzanova, Clara Hill, his various colaborations, all point to his futuristic, well structured music sensibilities. His first solo CD, International Affairs is still in heavy rotation in my ITunes playlist. Bold and Beautiful will be joining soon. There have always been exceptional musicians and tastemakers who work (almost unknown to the masses) shaping the current soundcape, imparting a particular vibe that slowly spreads across the dancefloors, lounges, and with luck, the radio. Vikter is one of the best of them. Vikter and Mark de Clive-Lowe share the same musical headspace.

He's from Philly, but he ain't got the cookie-cutter sound we've come to expect (which ain't bad-no dissing here). Where my favs, The Roots, Jill Scott, Lizz Fields went right, Vik went left, but they all interconnect in some way. Vikter is a major figure in the broken beat/nu-jazz movement, blending jazz, ethnic music and urban grooves. Duplaix's sound is an excellent mix of R&B, lounge-electronica and Future Funk. Most of Bold & Beautiful is laid-back, good for, ahh.. quiet times...but never letting up on the head-nod factor. Get this one!

OMG....I AN NOT BELIEVE I HAVE SLEPT ON THIS HANDSOME GUY! IM SO EMBARRASED, WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN HIDING HIM AND WHY AM I JUST NOW FINDING HIM. BEST BELIEVE I WILL BE BUYING ALLLLL HIS CDS...LIKE MY TITLE SAYS, .....ITS LIKE ERIC ROBERSON AND MAXWELL JUST HAD A SON AND THEY NAMED HIM VIKTER. IM LOVING THIS

I enjoyed this CD very much. It is for people who have a mature taste in music. It is jazz oriented with an R&B feel and it is also very world music. It is truly worth the listen.

I brought this mp3 after listening to the samples. I must say that this is one smooth and mellow album.
I'm not one for alot of the Neo-Soul stuff, but this one really caught my attention.
My personal favorites are: Make a Baby, Another Great Love
and the one that I have been repeatedly playing is: FOR LIFE.

With a nice glass of wine and that special one....it is on!

The CD is great! that is Bold & Beautiful.
This is my first collection of Vikter's own CD, & I have no regrets. The other Productions he worked on for other artists are also great. ...The guy has a magic touch on Music.

I'd advice any music lover to get this "Bold & Beautiful" CD.

As a Neo-Soul music fan from South Africa, I take my hat off to Vikter.

I was introduced to Vikter's music some time ago and absolutely love his style. I'll definitely add his songs to my playlist.

In search of something a little different from the usual maintstream nonsense? Check this out! I love his vocal style, it is soothing and very sensual, totally enamored ;-). What I love more than ever about this cd is that he not only has some great tracks you can chill too, or dance too, which is great in itself, BUT he has a beautiful message. This cd is part of what I see as a movement to free the world from pain and suffering. Raise the energy to a higher place....thats what he is trying to do. Far as I am concerned this is a perfect Ten!

Vikter is to this generation what Al Greene was to our parents generation. His voice calls you to stop and listen. You're mesmerized for 6 minutes 30 seconds and it's just the two of you entwined in his smooth beats and sultry voice. My favorite cut "Nothing Like Your Touch". A quiet storm staple if there ever should be. A sensitive ode to a woman's softness and generosity. "I See The Sun" reminds me a little of Mos Def and his effective imagery and hip hop beats. Vikter is a DJ by trade so it is fitting to have this infective upbeat track on the album. I just heard of him and came straight to Amazon to buy his album. There is no forwarding on this album. Every single can stand on its own. Vikter thank you for your amazing talent. You are the truth!

THIS IS A MUST HAVE CD. OUT OF ALL THE SONGS I LIKE ALL BUT MAYBE 3. ALL THE REST ARE HOT. U GOTTA BUY THIS ONE U WILL NOT BE LET DOWN.

I LOVE this CD. It's so good I bought my 'special friend' a copy. "For Life" and "Touch" are my two favorite songs. So sensual! A definite 'makeout' CD.
