Helped Me a Lot,
By Frank Giordano (Las Vegas, Nevada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
I like to play the new games that the casinos have introduced because you have a chance to win a lot of money. I also recognize that casinos have not introduced these games to make me money but to make them money. Scoblete's book helped me to learn the right strategies to keep the house edge low and it was also a very entertaininglook at three of the popular new games. Scoblete first explains how each game is played and then explains how the house edge is for various playing methods. He then explains his own Bold Card Play strategies which do cut the edges considerably. He has a really great section on the various types of systems people try to employ against casino games and he also has excellent information on how to get the most in comps for the least risk. He is an excellent writer and this book is must reading if you want to play these new games.

Great Strategies for Casino Friendly Games,
By Steve LaRusso (Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
Scoblete makes no bones about it. These games are casino friendly games. The casinos want players to play high house edge games so they, the casinos, can make more money. But Scoblete offers us excellent strategies to cut the house edge to the minimum and also excellent money management advice to risk much less money than other players while still having just as much fun. If you are attracted to these games then this book should be on your shopping list. You'll save one hundred times the cover price in your next few visits to the casinos because you have read it. Scoblete is a great writer as well and the book has some terrific insights.

If you play these new games as I do then you should get this book. I was playing the dumbest strategies until I found out what to do. It has helped me a lot. This book is great.

Great Strategies for Tough Games,
By John Davis (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
These new games can be murder on your bankroll but Scoblete shows how to use the proper strategies to reduce the house edge to the minimum. He then explains how to slow the pace to get more in comps than your action actually entails. The book is a fast read and you can photocopy his strategies and take them to the casino. This is very helpful if, like me, you have a poor memory. Definitely a worthwhile book to have. Also a fun book to read.

bold card play: best strategies for carribean stud, let it r,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
I am normally very impressed by the gaming books Frank Scoblete has written. However, I was very disappointed in this particular book because it had very liitle substantive, practical advice you come to expect from his books. In addition, there is a glaring mistake in the Three Card Poker section where he discusses the payout schedule (odds) for "Ante" and "Pair Plus" bets. Specifically, the author list tables of payout schedules that do not correspond to the writtten text (shame on the author as well as the editors!). This made for a very confusing and frustrating read and tempted me to go back to the bookstore for a refund.

These Games Need the Best Strategies,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
All three games in this book have heavy house edges if you don't know the proper strategies. Even with the proper strategies, you face an uphill battle. Scoblete has done a masterful job of research, just as he does for all his books, and he shows you the very best ways to approach these three new games. The book is enjoyable to read as well because Scoblete is a terrific writer.

Great Information About New Games,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
The casinos are inventing new games all the time with the purpose in mind of getting a bigger share of our money. What I like about Frank Scoblete's book is how he manages to develop strategies that cut the house edge to the lowest they can be AND he shows how to play these strategies in a way that really saves you money and gives you a shot at winning. This book is a very good book to read. It is also fun and Scoblete's insights are worth the price of the cost alone. I recommend it to anyone interested in these three new games. It has helped me a lot!

Don't Play These New Games Until You Read Scoblete's Books,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bold Card Play (Paperback)
Then Amazon is offering you the best bargain you can get. I just finished reading both of Scoblete's books, BOLD CARD PLAY and THE ARMADA STRATEGIES and they were incredible. They give the best strategies for these often casino-friendly games. Scoblete shows you how to reduce the house edge and to take advantage of the casino comping system. This is a great tandem of books for gamblers interested in reading about the "other" casino games.
