5.0 out of 5 stars The book is what got me hooked on Connie Mason.
My sister in law read the Brave Land, Brave Love and said it was really a great book .She gave it to me to read and I noticed it was the last book of 3. I went to the library to get the other 2 books before it. I read all 3 in 1 week. Couldn`t put them down. Mrs. Mason is a very good writer. I`m hooked and plan on reading her other books. Keep up the good work.

3.0 out of 5 stars I love Connie Mason books but not this one...
This is the 10th Connie Mason book that I've read & I've always loved them for the most part but this book was way too depressing for me. First of all, how many times can a woman possibly face almost getting raped within a few short months by so many different people & in so many different situations? I also hated Dare's sexual encounter with another lady (don't want to...

5.0 out of 5 stars ON OF MY FAVORITES, April 3, 1999
By A Customer
Reading Bold Land Bold Love was an experience I enjoy over and over again. IT made me feel like I was there experiencing what Dare & Casey felt and what they were going through. It kept my interest and I laughed with them and also cried with them. I found it very easy to Hate the villianess. It is one of many of Ms. Mason's books which once you open it it will keep you interest from the first page to the last.

5.0 out of 5 stars an all-time favorite trashy romance!, May 8, 2008
i read this book ages ago, and it got tossed out with a group of trashy novels i gave away, vowing that i was "done" with reading trashy romance novels. years later i still pined for this one particular book, but i'd forgotten the name, and never remembered the author. i searched for WEEKS on the internet for this book, and finally found it again! purchased it and fell in love with it all over.

Bold Land, Bold Love is split into three "books" per se, and the story is so rich and twisty and captivating, you just have to give it five stars. a lot happens in a smallish amount of time (relatively speaking). if you're not accustomed to romance novels, the suspension of disbelief might be a little challenging in that light. still, it's good fun. the sexy scenes are plentiful, there's a ton of plot, and the only real criticisms i might have are that the dialogue seems a little high-schoolish in places, and the heroine gets nearly raped but rescued in the nick of time, so many times it gets a little silly. but hey, this isn't wuthering heights. just sit back and enjoy the fluff!

FAR better than modern-day-setting harlequin romances and stuff.

This is the 10th Connie Mason book that I've read & I've always loved them for the most part but this book was way too depressing for me. First of all, how many times can a woman possibly face almost getting raped within a few short months by so many different people & in so many different situations? I also hated Dare's sexual encounter with another lady (don't want to spoil anything so this is how I'm wording it). I mean I understand her reason for demanding it but she didn't threaten anything so why did he give in? I also felt like Casey didn't have many feelings about much of anything therefore she didn't seem real to me. She almost gets raped numerous times & she shows no feelings about it & can minutes later make love to Dare & throughout the ups & downs in this book I just didn't feel like she had any feelings.

Although I hated the storyline in this book & since I am a huge Connie Mason fan & this is the first in a 3 book series & I already have the other 3 I'm going to finish the series & hope they get better.

i loved this book! i have been reading romance books for a while now and i have come across bad and good books. this goes in the GREAT collumn. if you like adventure, romance, Australia, red-haired convicts, and dark haired men all in the 1800's (1807-1810) then you would love this book. i did!!

4.0 out of 5 stars New South Wales: 1807, June 18, 2008
It was a vast land of wild beauty and wilder passions; a frontier as yet untamed by man; a place where women had few rights and fewer pleasures.

For a female convict like flame-haired Casey O'Cain, it was a living nightmare. Exquisitely beautiful, utterly helpless, she was expected to cater to her master's every whim. And from the first, arront, handsome Dare Penrod made it clear what he wanted of her. Casey knew she should fight him with every breath of her body, but her heart told her he could make a paradise of this wilderness for her. His callused hands took rights she should never have granted, his warm lips whispered of pleasures she had never known, and his hard body promised a love she would never relinquish.
