5.0 out of 5 stars Great tennis glasses...
After hearing about these sunglasses for tennis I decided to try them and I was amazed at the result. Having played tennis for 16 years, I found that these lenses muted all colour and highlighted optic yellow (tennis ball) which enabled my eye to pick-up the tennis ball in flight with far more ease then with my natural eye. Also as the day got darker I found that the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product, lousy service.
Optics Planet (the "partner" that sold this to me through Amazon) advertised this product as having interchangeable lenses. Imagine my surprise when they arrived with no extra lenses. I contacted Optics Planet, and they told me that the model that they sold me DOESN'T come with lenses - I could get a different model if I returned the one I had and paid them more money. (I...

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic, October 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It came with another pair of glasses. The black glasses are for driving, shopping, etc, and blue ones for tennis
very light, but fits well, you will forget that you are wearing sun glasses and focus on games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bolle Vigilante, November 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These Sunglasses have the widest width lenses of any I have seen. They are excellent for large faces. The soft rubber temples and nose piece make wearing a pleasure. The gunmetal lenses cut any glare.

The sunglasses are great, perfect for driving...
But Optics Planet makes it seem like a rip off.

4.0 out of 5 stars Product description says Tennis lenses, but Amazon ships Golf lenses, July 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The reviews give a mixed picture on what one gets, some mention tennis, some mention what I describe below. Amazon needs to figure out how to properly relay what customers will get.

The set I received had NO Competivision lenses that are for tennis, but instead two sets of different shades EagleVision, plus TNS Gun for driving. Additional lenses can be gotten elsewhere including Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for ageing eye sight, June 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been playing tennis for over 30 years, both competitively and socially. I have seen these glasses on other tennis players and when I ask what they think of them, they all response very positively. I thought the glasses were a little bit too expensive for me but due to my age, my eyes are not as good as they used to be, so I thought I would give them a go. I am very happy with them I believe I can see the ball a lot better and I believe my tennis has improved. However I did find that after wearing them my eyes were a little red and sore the next day, so I was told not to take them on and off while playing, and if I had to wipe my face, to keep my eyes closed, so my eyes didn't have to keep adjusting their focus due to the different contrast. So now I put them on before I start playing and don't take them off until I have finished playing for the day, and I find my eyes are not red and sore the next day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Pleased, June 14, 2008
This review is from: Bolle Vigilante Sunglass - Choose Color (Sports)
The Vigilante was recommended to me by a fellow bike rider and I'm thrilled with them. They are very comfortable and keep the UV rays from my eyes. The look is also very sleek.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great riding glasses, January 11, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bolle Vigilante Sunglass - Choose Color (Sports)
I bought my first pair back in 2002 to wear while riding my motorcycle. I chose these because they have the optional Rx insert since I normally wear glasses. No regrets here! I really like them. So much so that when The nose and earpieces wore out in 2009 I bought another pair just like them. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because you have to beware of knocking a lens out if you want to rub an eye with 1 finger while wearing the sunglasses.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tennis Aide, November 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased these on a reconmendation of a fellow tennis player. I really never wear sunglasses except to the beach. So, honestly, getting used to wearing them was my biggest obstacle.
My first try wearing them was at night under the lights. I managed to the ball well, but other things were too dark. Not recommende to that. Dytime in the sun, not cloudy worked best. They take away the glare and emphasize the ball. Peoples skin look like they are grey and dying. Other colors change too, such as the "red" court ,now brown. That aspect I did not like about the glasses. As a result, I hardly wear them. Oh, I think the price of them, is really too high for a pair of sunglasses. They are NOT scratch proof and for that price I think they should be.
Service by Amazon was great.
