Jag Mundhra is an underestimated Film-maker, not till you see "Shoot on Sight". This is a bold venture for any Film-maker because of the content-but Mundhra cleverly dissects the message. The Script was tight with some great dialog. Om Puri, is good in whatever he does since he has this diction which comes handy for a Preacher/Imam/Military Commander or any Character that he may chose to portray. Nasirudeen Shah is just great. The background music was good. I was impressed by the movie since it had no dull moments.The direction by Mundhra was an ace. It was very clever to have the British Characters speak (or dub) in Hindi and English. This makes it appealing to the narration. I enjoyed watching this movie setting aside the underlying sentiments.

THIS FICTIONAL THRILLER IS PRIMARILY BASED ON THE AFTERMATH OF THE LONDON SUICIDE BOMBINGS OF 7/7. THERE ARE VERY INTENSE EMOTIONS AND SENTIMENTS SHOWN BY BOTH THE MUSLIM AND CHRISTIAN CITIZENS. THE SUBSEQUENT POLICE ORDER OF "SHOOT ON SIGHT" ANY SUSPECTED SUICIDE BOMBERS CAUSES MORE STRONG REACTIONS FROM BOTH SIDES. A MUSLIM POLICE OFFICER FROM SCOTLAND YARD MUST INVESTIGATE THE POLICE SHOOTING AND KILLING OF A SUSPECTED TERRORIST AND HIS JOB IS MADE MORE DIFFICULT WHEN HE'S EQUALLY DISTRUSTED BY HIS FELLOW OFFICERS AND HIS FELLOW MUSLIMS. WHILE HE IS TRYING TO GET EVIDENCE SHOWING IF THE SLAIN MAN WAS GUILTY OR INNOCENT THERE IS A VERY REAL POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER TERRORIST CELL PLANNING A MAJOR ACT OF TERRORISM. THIS IS A VERY WELL WRITTEN AND ACTED DRAMA
