If you have a bolognese and like choices when buying books, you're out of luck here. As far as I can tell, this is the one and only bolognese book available at the moment. After a few seconds of deliberation, we decided to purchase Wolfgang Knorr's bolognese guide. Since the bolognese is a rare breed in the United States, it's only fitting that books about this bichon cousin are also rare.

We are very pleased with this book especially because it is bolognese intense. Many dog books we've purchased in the past begin with details about a specific breed, but then lapse into another generic dog book. Not so with this book, which is bolognese flavored from beginning to end. The usual dog fare is in this book with information about breed history, breed standard, puppy care and selection, training and healthcare. The sections on bolognese grooming and bathing are extensive and especially helpful.

Accenting the book are many photographs of cute bolognese in different life stages. Sharing your home with a bolognese? You'll want this book.

This book has lots of information on the beautiful Bolognese breed and is the only book I can find published in English. Lots of good information and great pictures too. Overall appearance I thought a little dated but the information contained inside was very good.

This was a good book about Bolognese dogs. It certainly gives you enough information to make a novice dog person feel comfortable with the basics of this breed. I would recommend it for anyone considering a Bolognese.
