Amazing Film,
By Freeze (Seattle) - See all my reviews

Wow,,, after watching this movie I was really impressed. The filming is great and the story line is fantastic. The plot isn't all that realistic but the setting is. The soundtrack is a good fit for the film and the artwork is good. People interested in the underground artwork community will love this as well as serious writers.
Overall I was extremely satisfied with this film and would recommend it too most.

Fun and Pretty,
This review is from: Bomb the System (DVD)
I really enjoyed the act of sitting down and watching this film.If you have a big enough screen (or sit close enough to the television) this film will take you on a fun visual and thematic roller coaster right of emotions and stimuli. I don't know much about graffitti, but the main character and the visuals really drew me in. The story-line wasn't shakespearian in complexity and originality, but it did what it was supposed to do (and I think bringing in aliens or a vast govermental conspiracy would have been a bit distracting anyway).
Even if you aren't into the film at all, if you find the main actor as attractive as I do you might just as well go out and buy the film anyway:p

changed my perspective,

This review is from: Bomb the System (DVD)
i must admit, i was pretty close-minded when it came to the "art" of graffiti. i considered it vandalism that destroyed and disrespected the orignal beauty of a building, wall, school, etc. however, this movie really helped me see past the stereotype that all graffiti art is fueled by egos and impulsive behavior. it provided a good argument for the portrayal of graffiti as a showcase of authentic emotion and undying pride. im thankful that this movie has given me the opportunity to see something like graffiti from a different perspective. if anything, see this movie for the enlightenment and ability to understand a different lifestyle. this movie made a huge impact on my perspective, and i actually consider the story that may be behind a random tag on the wall. basically: highly recommended.

the first thing i noticed about this movie was how beautifully it was shot. this definitely came as a surprise to me, considering it focuses on graffiti in the slums of new york city. the vibrant designs and color displayed in the graffiti artwork emphasized its distinct and often misunderstood purpose. the story basically told the story behind the artwork. i felt so much emotion strung throughout the film because it touched on so many experiences and hard decisions that are so easy to relate with. overall, this is definitely a movie you should watch.

true love for the art,

i happened to see this movie when it was playing on cable, and i ordered it as soon as it came out. i vaguely remember hearing about it when it was going into the Tribeca Film Festival, and hearing good things about it. i was so refreshing to see a movie that displays true passion in the acting, screenplay, cinematography, and set design. this movie is perfect for anyone who wants to familiarize themselves with hip hop culture with an artistic and inspirational media.

great indie movie,

i wasnt sure what to expect when i saw this movie, but i was impressed with the level of realism this movie displayed. i think its hard to portray the art of graffiti in a positive manner, and even harder to build an entertaining and stimulating storyline around it. this movie surpassed my expectations on all accounts, and i would highly recommend it to anyone remotely interested in the graffiti culture.

This Movie is Sick!,
This review is from: Bomb the System (DVD)
I have not seen a lot of indie films but if there are more like this than I need to check them out. I loved this movie, the acting the plot and the score was sick. This peeks into a lifestyle that many of do not understand. I loved the way it put a story behind the graffiti. I have often wondered who made a tag a and what its meaning was. If you have not seen this movie you should totally check it out. You won't be disappointed.
