When I first got the book, I assumed it was just a joke. The more I reviewed it though, the more I realized that the recipes indeed are quite good. Not to mention it makes a fantastic coffee-table book and conversation starter. Just look at the cover!

Is it funny? Yes. Literally, page after page of solid jokes.

But it'd be a throwaway if it wasn't actually a solid cookbook. And it is. I definitely haven't tried everything but I made a full meal from it this weekend and wifey loved it. The recipes are basic enough to not be ridiculous but fun and tasty.

Seriously, if you cook ever and like rap at all - give it a try. You'll love it and laugh while you're at it.

This has amazing recipes (the dessert section especially) and makes you laugh, too. Wish it was a hardcover but that is the only psuedo-complaint I could possibly log about this cookbook! Great quality and something different than you normally see in a kitchen.

You can tell that the authors of this self-published cookbook are just over the top hilarious! Like, Kristen Wig hilarious. You'll be jealous you're not friends with them! The recipes I've tried have all been really quite good and although there are twists on recipes like Hazelnut Cream Puff Daddies, all of the ingredients are widely available. There's nothing worse than opening up a cookbook only to realize you'll have search to find something like "matcha powder" that is only sold in bulk at an Oriental food market 20 miles from your house. . . (although matcha is delicious ;)) Definitely a worthy purchase and a great gift idea for a hip hop/food/pun lover!
