The 18-ounce machine uses direct immersion to create bold, full-flavored coffee. To make coffee, simply deposit coffee grinds into the coffee maker and add hot water. After steeping for 3 to 5 minutes, coffee’s ready. Placing the coffee maker on top of a mug triggers the gravity-flow filter, pouring coffee into the cup while keeping grinds in the maker. When your cup’s filled to the brim, just lift the brewer and the flow stops.

Made of heat-resistant, unbreakable polycarbonate, this coffee maker is even safe for brewing in the microwave. An included matching spoon is also great for scooping grinds. The Smart Coffee Maker is designed to fit standard mug sizes and will not accommodate a mug with an extra-wide mouth. BonJour will replace any manufacturer defaults up to a year after purchase. I'm pretty serious about my coffee and have several different brew pots. I bought one of these several years ago. It makes great coffee. Use three level Tb of fresh-ground coffee in a cone fileter (makes cleanup a breeze)Watch the water temp, wet the grinds for 30 seconds, pour the water and let brew for 4 minutes. Voile'! Makes ~16 oz. I'm having a cup now! BTW, the product is shown with a cup NOT included.
