5.0 out of 5 stars I am in tea heaven
I use my coffee press for loose tea and I love it. I make tea with this press at least once a day. It is also great for coffee and is nice to have on hand for when my father visits and wants his one cup. When I buy my coffee I tell the coffee expert at my local market that it is for a french press so that he will give me a coarse grind. But the tea is where this...

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but Tiny
If you like a tiny cup of coffee like many Europeans do, this is a great little unit. But if you like an American-sized cup or mug of coffee (8-12 oz.), don't be misled by the ad touting it as a 3-cup unit. We returned it for a larger model because as cute and nicely made as it is, it barely makes one good-sized cup.

It is also great for coffee and is nice to have on hand for when my father visits and wants his one cup. When I buy my coffee I tell the coffee expert at my local market that it is for a french press so that he will give me a coarse grind. But the tea is where this product really shines. It has a strainer at the pouring lip so that I'm drinking tea and not spitting leaves. It brews the perfect mug in less than 5 minutes and because it is clear glass I can easily moniter how dark my tea will be. I have been using my press for nearly 5 months now and will be ordering more for when I entertain. Hand washing is very easy and the used leaves go easily down the garbage desposil.

The fact is that this french press coffee maker only servers one (1) cup of coffee and not 3 as in the manufacturer's description. This is expensive for a one (1) cup coffee maker!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me!, November 1, 2010

I received the Bonjour Monet as a gift. It was not the French Press I had been hoping for but I must report that I love this product! I am completely new to French Press coffee so I have no previous experience to use as a benchmark. That being said, I am completely thrilled with this little pot. I am the only one that drinks tea or coffee in our home, and I only drink one small cup in the morning at that, which is probably why the 3-cup (actually 8 oz.) size works perfectly for me. The gifter that purchased it knew this about me, and figured correctly that it would suit to a tee. She chose the Bonjour over others because of the sturdy-looking screen/plunger and the added splatter guard and pouring screen attached to the lid. I have made several cups of coffee and tea and have had absolutely zero problems with escaping or renegade grounds or leaves. I really enjoy the whole "press process" and appreciate that it forces me to slow down for the experience! I'm still trying to find an easy method of extracting the sludge-like grounds out of the bottom of the press -- that aspect is the only negative thing I experience, though that would be true of any french press, regardless of the maker.
