BonJour French Press Replacement Glass Carafe 12-Cup Universal Design

I have been using my Bodum and the carafes kept breaking in the dishwasher. I decided to try the BonJour Universal Carafe. It has been two months and no problems. They are a little cheaper than the Bodum replacement carafes and the also seem to be more durable.

After the hubby broke the lip off the original carafe we had it was necessary ro replace it. I wasn't sure if this one would match out press or not, the description was a bit more vague than I'd have liked. I was perfect. Fits slightly looser into the metal frame than the original did. This comes in handy for cleaning since the original was hard to remove, but you do have to keep a finger on it when dumping the grounds so it doesn't come out. The mesh on the plunger fits slightly more snug which is nice after years of use, but still is able to plunge. We've had our press for a few years now, a gift for hubby along with an electric kettle. He's a big coffee drinker. I've always been impressed with the coffee it has made adn I'm glad that I could find the necessary replacement carafe.

thank god for these replacement carafes. We would have to replace our french press over and over without them.
Our French press is almost 16 years old and we use it every single day. Hurray for BonJour for making it possible to keep it for that long.
