When the crowd is small and the coffee needs to be just the right strength, this mini French press will make one to three cups quickly and without mess. Just take out the plunger and filter assembly, add ground coffee and boiling water, reinsert the plunger and filter, and wait a few minutes before depressing the plunger. The filter separates grounds from fresh coffee; a strainer attached to the front of the lid captures any escapees. Idea for small quantities of tea, too. --Richard Farr

I bought this to supplent a MonJour 32 oz. model. This is perfect for one cup. With ground coffee effectively holds 10 - 10 1/2 ozs of water, perfect for one cup. Has a rubber gasket on the edge of the plunger, which keeps grounds from mixing into the coffee, unlike a screen model I looked at in a store that was not tight. Made totally of plastic on the outside great for those mornings when I only want one cup and my wife doesn't want any. Not a replacement to my larger one, but a great addition.
