5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Product!
I just had engineered hardword floors put down in my home. I went to the local mega-hardware store to find a cleaning product for no-wax hardwood floors and purchased a combo kit: terry cloth flat mop (like a larger version of the Swifter) with a spary bottle of cleaner by a very well-known hardwood floor manufacturer. However, I had already purchased several bottles...

3.0 out of 5 stars Glass Plus Works Better
My flooring installer recommended Glass Plus without ammonia to clean my polyurethane finished wooden floors. It works great without streaking, but has been hard to find. Most glass cleaners contain ammonia, which will darken the finish of wood floors. So I tried Bona X. It is much more expensive and leaves streaks unless dry mopped immediately after applying.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Product!, August 13, 2007
I just had engineered hardword floors put down in my home. I went to the local mega-hardware store to find a cleaning product for no-wax hardwood floors and purchased a combo kit: terry cloth flat mop (like a larger version of the Swifter) with a spary bottle of cleaner by a very well-known hardwood floor manufacturer. However, I had already purchased several bottles of Bona from Amazon after reading the good reviews. Since my floors were very dirty after installation, I started with the "well-known" brand product. Within ten minutes I was dizzy from the fumes. The label lists all sorts of chemicals and a long list of warnings -- including proper ventilation (hard to do when it is 90 degrees outside and you are running the A/C at full blast). So I washed the mop and switched to a bottle of Bona. I was amazed! Side by side comparison, Bona did a better job of cleaning AND no fumes. . In fact, it has NO ODOR what-so-ever. There is no listing of ingredients on the label because it is completely non-toxic. If you go to their website, you can see it has received numerious environmental awards including one for clean indoor air. It applies easily, dires quite fast and leaves a shine. So many times these "environmental friendly" products just don't do a very good job, but this is not the case with Bona X. I sure don't want to breath, walk or lounge on toxic chemicals (nor do I want my dog to). I will never use anything except Bona on my floors again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best hardwood floor cleaner ever!, November 11, 2005
By
Carolann (Atlanta, GA USA) - See all my reviews
We have polyurethane finished hardwood floors in our kitchen, dining and living areas. We also have a 2 year old grandson and a dog in our house (need I say more). BonaKemi hardwood floor cleaner is fantastic for spot cleaning and for regular upkeep. It always makes the floors look like they were just professionally done, and it's so easy to use. Believe me I have tried many other products, including the most popular, but now I couldn't clean without my BonaKemi. It truly outshines all the rest!

5.0 out of 5 stars #1 Cleaner for Hardwood Floors, January 27, 2007
I had tried at least four other well-known products for my bamboo hardwood floor, but they would leave a film and the wood looked dirty and cloudy. Then I purchased Bona X Hardwood Floor Cleaner -- it left my floors looking shiny and clean. This is the best product you can purchase for your hardwood floors. It is quick and easy to use and leaves your floor looking like new. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only cleaner to use on hardwood, May 18, 2007

Murphy's oil soap.. no way! We have tiger wood floors and cherry wood floors. This product cleans like a dream and does not leave a sticky resdue. I was out of Bona for a few weeks and use Murphy's. Boy was I unhappy. A must have if you care about your hardwood.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cleans great but does not make the floor shine, so if you understand that before you buy it, you'll love it!!!!, August 23, 2007
As I stated in my much too long title, this product is great to clean the floor, but it will not restore a worn floor to a miracle shine...in fact it won't make it shine at all. If your shine is gone, you need the Restorer product. So if you are looking for a great wood floor cleaner, this is it. Don't expect it to make it shinier!

3.0 out of 5 stars Maybe good for some, but not all conditions, February 23, 2009

I have bamboo floors at home, and I have been using Orange-Glo for the floors for a while. Looking for alternatives, I came across the Bona cleaner. After purchasing and trying, I'm not sure I'm any better off than I was before. Bona's cleaner was easier to spread around than Orange-Glo, but did not appear to make the floor any cleaner - and more importantly to the significant other, did not make the floor as shiny afterward.

2.0 out of 5 stars Left Dull residue on Laminate, April 8, 2008
By

I bought this product considering the rave reviews, but it left a dulling residue on my laminate (which attracts dirt) just like the cheaper products. I'll continue my hunt and not buy another bottle of this product.

I bought Bona after reading the reviews here on Amazon. I'm very happy I trusted the reviews. The spray bottle is easy to use and I don't need a significant amount of product on my floors to clean them and give them a nice shine. I have 60-year-old plus hardwood floors that we had refinished about a year ago. We also have a dog that tracks in all kinds of things from outside and leaves little doggy prints all over the floor. Bona is a quick way to clean up his little messes (he also leaves wet "presents" for us occasionally). I just spray some on the floor and wipe up with a terry cloth mop. Quick, easy, and gives it a nice sheen. I also have 4-year-old hardwood flooring in my kitchen and I use the Bona to clean up my cooking messes.

No strong smell (important for me as I am pregnant and strong smells bother me) and it dries quickly. I will buy this again and would recommend it to a friend.
