Product Description

The Caboose is compact, a mere 2.5" tall when closed, and 4" tall when ready for use. It is 8" x 10" and weighs just under a pound. There is room to store a diaper when closed. Any size diaper works in the potty. If you don't have any diapers, you can still use the potty, although that defeats the genius of the Caboose. The carrying bag has a sturdy handle, it zips open quickly and has a small fabric insert to ward off odors.

This potty is small, but mighty. We have it in the car for any time our kids have to go and there just isn't a place, or time, to get them to a toilet. We have used whatever size diapers we happen to be using for the baby, and they all have worked well in this potty. The carrying case is easy to open, and setting up the potty with a diaper is really easy. When done, you just roll up the diaper and throw it away, no worrying about leaks or anyone seeing what is inside. I have taken this to soccer fields, charity walks, and have been so glad to have it handy when the kids don't want to go in a smelly port a potty. I can't even fit in those to help the littlest one do his business! You will do a happy dance every time your toddler does the potty dance when you have this potty at hand.

I was worried that my daughter would not sit on this potty since it looks different from the potty at home and the reviews said how small it is. She had no problems with it and I couldn't be happier. Yes, it is small... but that is part of the beauty of it. I have even carried it in the diaper bag at times when I don't want her to have to use a public toilet. The whole pee in the diaper idea is genious. I wish I had come up with it. I now have one in every car. We love this potty!

This potty works great for my little one during the potty training. With this travel potty, we can still go out for activities during the potty training. And it's so easy to use. It fits easily in our diaper bag, a normal-sized one. The best of all: it works well with cloth prefold diapers, even better than with disposable diapers! (The disposable diapers seem to slip down easily if not properly installed. It took some time to put a disposable diaper in place without slipping down.) We are family using cloth diapers from the beginning. Now we can continue using cloth diaper with this travel potty. We'll continue using it as a travel potty after the potty training is done.

I seriously love this toilet. On road trips.. We put our daughter on the potty in the car while going through drive throughs (two birds with one stone!). I take this thing every where, hiking, boating, road trips, parks, etc.
it's teeny tiny, everyone says lunch box size.. I think my 1980s plastic she-ra lunch box (with matching thermos) was bigger than this!
Other reviews talk about how hard it is to put the diaper on in a hurry.. My question is .. Why don't you keep a diaper in it?
I don't know how it would work with a small diaper but I buy size 6 for it. This allows me to fasten the diaper around the sides AND put the lid back on the diaper. Which helps the diaper take the shape if the toilet so when my kiddo needs to use it, it stays put... Plus i don't have to fuss with it while she is peeing all over herself.
You gotta be smarter than the diaper potty.. If you are, it's the best portable toilet out there.
I keep it with extra diapers and some Clorox wipes (travel pack or zip lock of ones from the house stash) in the nifty little plastic zipper case that the potty comes in.. Even has a handle.
Took this to disneyland even.. Just in case we got stuck in a long bathroom line!

Seriously, stop thinking about it.. Just buy it. No drippy, leaky pee bags. Just roll up the diaper, like you've been doing for the last 1-3 years and toss.

I bought this product because my son, who is fully potty trained, refuses to pee in public places. For some reason, no matter what diaper I use as an insert, it doesn't 'hold' and urine leaks into the potty therefore, I must clean the product after each use. I still won't complain though because he will use this product and we can go on with our outings and activities without worrying about him using a public bathroom or not. One other minor issue it the lack of stability between the top and bottom part of the potty.

I don't love this potty but will keep it. There are three main problems with it:

1) SMALL: Like the other reviews state, the potty is VERY small. And just like others have said, its small size also works to its advantage by being easy to transport. I toss it into a plastic bag (which I later use to toss away the wipes & the wet diaper) along with a clean diaper into the basket of my stroller.
2) SLIDES: The top lid can easily slide off the bottom part. It's not a problem when my child is sitting ON the potty but a pain when you're trying to rush in getting it prepared (i.e. getting the diaper into the thing and getting the lid to be stable on top and your child is needing to go NOW! NOW! NOW!) I wish they built a sort of latch to fix this problem.
3) LEAKS: This happens to me 8 out of 10 times....the pee will leak off the side of diaper while it is in the potty and drip off the sides into the base. I'm not sure what I'm doing different those 2 out of 10 times it works and the potty stays completely dry and the diaper is the only thing wet...but I think the rushing to assemble it may have something to do with it.
I'm putting size 5 diapers into the potty so it should be big enough...but it leaks. : (

Maybe if they designed the lid to have little small plastic hooks to keep the diaper sides up in place, it would prevent this problem from happening.

But all in all, I'm keeping this product because it's easy to carry & simple to clean.
And maybe one of these days, I'll figure out how to keep the pee from leaking off the sides of the diapers!
