I've been looking & looking, and thanks amazon, I found it. I am the youngest of eight in our family. Christmas on the Ponderosa is a classic that my family grew up with. I'm proud to keep the tradition alive.

I can't tell you what a great Deal this 4 Box set is. It includes the Christmas one as listed above. Plus other songs, including a beautiful rendition of Michael Landon (Little Joe) singing Shenendoah. As well as Lorne Greene(BEN) doing THe Place Where I worship.. On CD 4 is Dan Blocker (Hoss) doing a number of U.S. History type songs. He sings but mostley narrates a lot of it. His voice is so Gentle and soft, and as you listen to this whole collection you can see the Ponderosa right before you. All of a sudden your home looks like the Ponderosa. Pernell Roberts (ADAM) sings they call the Wind Maria. This is a must Have for anyone who wants to go back in Time. You cant help but blast it out so the whole neighborhood can hear. I even play it down at the Stable for my Horse she loves it and actually gets mad when I turn it off. She tries to turn it back on. You just have to have this, it will make you want to throw a party PONDEROSA style. The angels are singing tonite on the Ponderosa ^j^

I really enjoy the CD...amazed to realize I still remember not only the lyrics but the DIALOGUE! If you've never heard this "album", it contains some traditional and several not-so-traditional songs. You're in for an evening of caroling on the Ponderosa with Ben and the boys and their guests (including bossy Ms. Abby Morgan who has her cap set for Ben!). Oh...and if you're buying it from Jingles, I got mine in about a week that included a holiday!

This is a great Christmas album featuring the cast of Bonanza with traditional and what was then contemporary Christmas music and dialogue to make it feel like it is an episode of the show. This is a great bargain for those who just want the album, but if you are a true fan of this stuff, you are better off buying the boxed set on Bear Family which contains not only this album in its entirety, but also the original Ponderosa Party Time album in its entirety, 4 Lorne Greene albums in their entirety, rare versions of "Ringo" and "Sand" sung by Lorne in French, Pernell Roberts's only album in its entirety and Dan Blocker's album in its entirety with a great booklet of liner notes, a sessionography, and more plus a gift from "Hop Singh," a small envelope of pine needles for you to grow your own pine tree, but for those on a budget, all you can get the Razor & Tie best of Lorne Greene CD if you can find it, and this disc of the Christmas album, but I'd rather have fans buy the boxed set and be done with it as its worth the steep price it costs, although the Razor & Tie Lorne Greene disc does have the single "Waco" which isn't on the boxed set, but 45s of this single can often be found on eBay.

As a child, my mother had this recording as an Album. My sister and brother and I almost wore out that record. We loved it. WhenI first got it on CD I wore it out! I have had to replace three times! My family tradition is going on to my grandchild now. It is so nice to find something that is family fun and funny. I know all the word by heart but it is not just memorizing songs, it's memories from childhood. My favorites are "Christmas is a coming" and "Santa Clause got stuck in the Chimney". It is the simpler pleasures of a simpler time. Enjoy it with your family for years to come. Even when no one remembers Bonanza the TV show, they will remember Bonanza, Christmas on the Ponderosa. Every year at christmas time when decorating the tree my Mother would always have this playing it was her favorite way to listen to music of the season. It has been listened to so much that all versions that we have it on are very worn. it is a Great buy if you can find it. Hope you have great luck.:-)

This album was so popular with our faimily, we wore out it out. My brothers, cousins and I have been trying to get a copy of this for years. It sure brings back happy memories. I would love to play it for my children.

BUT what Baby Boomer could resist picking up Christmas on the Ponderosa?
And doesn't that little kid inside you still love Ben Cartwright and the boys????
And how could you not want to hear Hoss sing????
Just too kitsch to resist!

The item that I received was exactly as it was pictured. It was great it was exactly as i remember it from my childhood all the old songs were on there. The delivery was really fast, I received it in time for christmas and was very pleased.

When I was a child my brother and sister and I loved this album we listened to it over and over again. It brought back such good memories that when I saw it I had to buy it.
