This review is from: Bond and Covenant: A Perspective on Holy Matrimony (Paperback)
This book is great reading and fitting for all people, especially for those clergy who are counseling people who are planning to be married. It takes the marriage ceremony and breaks it down into easily understood and readable portions, ready for counseling sessions. It is not only good for those about-to-be married, but also for all couples. It presents the relationship between couples as a bonding moment but more imporantly, it reminds a couple that marriage is a commitment, not only between two people, but also a Covenant between man, woman, and God. Very moving text plus a easy-to-read and understandable manner of writing all combine to make this book indispensable to all. It also points out some potential areas of concern when planning a wedding, and addresses some areas that may crop up. All in all, an excellent book.
