Review
"Now you've done it! Bonded Thru Injustice has kept me up late reading two nights in a row. It's not making the significant other very happy, but it's damn fine reading! As a journalist, as well as a former investigator myself, I identified strongly with both Evans and his client. In fact, when I flipped the last page, I knew I had to sit down with Evans and a couple of beers and find out what happened after the novel ended. Please tell me Waters has a sequel in the works." --

From the Author
I've told this story through the eyes of my friend, J. Charles Evans, a licensed private investigator in Los Angeles.
Never once in his career did he ever allow himself to become attached to any of his clients. But Juan Rubio was uniquely different. And that troubled the hell out of Charles.
This book grew out of his three-year investigation involving California's first federal death penalty trial. When Charles first agreed to take on the case, he never dreamed that he was on a collision course with history.
A one-time law enforcement officer in Inglewood, California, Charles started his investigation agency more than a dozen years ago. He's earned the respect and trust of legitimate agencies across the country.
Charles has performed successful investigations for such notable attorneys as Johnnie Cochran, Leslie Abrahamson, Michael Zimbert, Robert Corbin, William Grayson, Robert Bryan, Arnold Klein, and Charles Windon.
After a few weeks into the investigation, Charles discovered his client, Juan Rubio, was either one of the worlds greatest liars or the link to a revelation: a symbiotic arrangement between drug traffickers and U.S. law enforcement.
Truckloads of coke, U.S. marshal badges, DEA jackets, and Mexico's minister of defense a drug trafficker. It was hard for us to comprehend. No matter, Juan had our attention.
Rubio may have been guilty of dealing drugs for most of his life, but these other charges were clearly bogus, especially the murder.
During the course of the investigation, hundreds of interviews were conducted, each one proving that Juan had told the truth from day one. The dialog included throughout this book is based on those interviews.
