This screwdriver/key set is one of the "star" or TorX type screwdriver - the "tamper resistant" means it has a hole in the middle.

Having already purchased pretty much the same tool Bondhus 12632 GorillaGrip, Set of 8 Star Fold-up Keys, sizes T6-T25 (slightly different sizes) to attempt retrieve data from a dead Seagate hard drive, I immediately regretting not finding this particular tool. It does the same thing, but the bits have a hole in the center.

Why the hole? To sell more tools, of course! (Seriously, I can only imagine engineering dreaming up what kind of screws to use. "Phillips? Too simple. Bristol? Nobody has ever heard of it. TorX? Hmm...how about TorX with a little hole in it, so people will give up and just take their stuff in for repairs instead of fixing it themselves? Great idea guys - High Five!") So, when I needed to replace my Mass Air Flow sensor in my VW, it just so happened they used these "tamper resistant" screws instead of the regular ones. Upon arrival, the tool is the same good quality as the other (I would certainly recommend Bondhus tools, the folks that created this tool.) 7 tools, all in the palm of your hand...again, my initial regret was not buying this one instead of both this one and the other one with the same sizes I needed.

However...there appears to be a problem. I don't know enough about how TorX requires toolmakers create "compatible" TorX screwdrivers like this, but the one size I needed, T20, had its hole far too small to actually work. I bought some other no-name T20 bit, and it worked flawlessly.

In short: nice tool, and I'd recommend it before the non "tamper resistant" version in case the hole sizes might work out for you. But if you absolutely need the T20 to work, you're going to be disappointed.

For the low price I wasn't expecting a quality product. Boy, was I wrong. This is a handy addition to your toolbox, particularly if you intend on working on kitchen appliances since they use Torx TR type screws often.
After laboring over trying to open a microwave oven for an entire day that had blown a fuse, with this tool I had it opened and closed back up in less than 10 minutes after changing the blown fuse.
This tool has a large selection of Torx TR bit sizes to choose from so I would be really surprised if the size you needed were not there. It folds up into a compact little unit when you are done so it won't take much space in your toolbox at all. It will also remove non-TR Torx screws as well, so you don't need to keep two different types of Torx bits in your toolbox since it handles both TR and non-TR heads equally well.
