These Bondhus balldriver wrenches have been familiar to me for maybe 30 years now. Through normal attrition, I recently found myself missing common sizes in my tool set. I went to the orange big box to acquire replacements, but only found store-brand wrenches. Being desperate, I bought them. Bad move! The quality isn't there. The drivers didn't properly fit the screw sockets, in some cases having to be driven in with a hammer.

So I bought this combination metric/imperial set from Amazon. Some things don't change. Bondhus still makes excellent tools. They have an excellent rust-resistant finish. They fit the screw sockets perfectly. The ball ends allow socket entry from an angle. The steel is extremely resistant to abuse (go ahead - use that cheater bar).

And finally, at $18, this is a steal. The big box wrenches are a couple bucks less, but are nowhere near this quality. I think you will be pleased.

I just ordered these for myself because we use them at work and they are fantastic. They are very durable and keep sharp edges so you are less likely to strip your screws. The rubbery plastic yellow or red cases are great too - durable, easy to use, and hold all the keys. Made in the USA. This is just a great product.

Being an amateur cyclist, I love building road bikes and a solid set of allen wrenches is an absolute must. Even more important are a set that allow you to access those tightly spaced bolts at odd angles...this is where having the balldriver on the long end really comes into play. Bondhus has always been a solid manufacturer in quality tools, and that extends to these as well. My local LBS uses these, and I will continue to use them as well.

I started using Bondhus hex wrenches in 1994 when I started buying tools for working on bicycles. I still have that set, it still works fine. I just wanted another set for my carpentry tool box. The ball ends allow quick removal of screws and bolts in tight spaces and at odd angles. The grippy black coating will wear off over time but usually only on wrenches that are used often. They're obviously made of a high quality tool steel because all but the smallest last for a long time. The smallest wrenches can strip over time but if you use them properly and don't over torque small screws and bolts they'll last a while too. I've tried other brands of hex wrenches but these are still the best.

High-quality tools at a good price. Very satisfying.

I should have got the set of 15 metric wrenches instead (Bondhus 17095 Set of 15 Balldriver L-wrenches with BriteGuard Finish, sizes 1.27-10mm). Turns out I need the 7mm, and I hardly ever need SAE sizes, but that's my fault for not looking closer.

This is a very good set of Allen wrenches, the ball end is useful in some situations. My only issue is the skipping of some sizes, such as the #9 and #7 mm. If you want a set with every size in the range, then pay attention to what is missing in the specs for this one.

I work on industrial overhead doors and have to loosen and tighten set screws on sprockets. these are legit and have held up to me abusing even some of the smaller ones, like 5/32 clamped into vise grips for leverage (length-wise mind you). I would buy again for sure. having the ball-end is what sold me for sure. I also believe these are USA made. +1 for durable goods!

I use these wrenches almost everyday at work. The ball end makes a HUGE difference when you use these types of wrenches. A co-worker recommended this brand to me and for the price I say they are outstanding. A must for anyone in machine building or assembling occupations.
