Exceptionally well organized reference with great tables.,

This review is from: Bone Marrow Pathology (Ascp Integrative Hematopathology, Vol 1) (Hardcover)
You may love this book or feel it is just so-so. I'm in the former category. As a pathology resident I refer to it often. Although it is sometimes difficult to read for long periods, it serves extremely well as a reference source. Information is often presented in more than one way i.e. in text form or in tables/charts. The illustrations are outstanding, although, like most books, idealized. I highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic book, but potential buyers should be aware that there is no need to pay an arm and a leg for a used copy of the first (1995) or second (2001) editions as the 3rd edition is now available (Bone Marrow Pathology 3rd Edition) and includes the updated 2008 WHO classification. For those still interested in a copy second edition for whatever reason, it is still available new from the American Society for Clinical Pathology ([...]) for MSRP (less for members).

This is still the best book out there on the subjuct. Most others are little more than atlases. First ed published in 1995, second in 2001....we should be soon due for another edition!!!
