5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive perspective on Noah's Flood!
This book is perspective-broadening. It is a wonderful presentation harmonizing Noah's Flood with dinosaur fossil evidence. It is written in a way that is easy to consider and comprehend for children 9-12 or for grown ups who are just beginning to study creation from a scientific view point. It truly is a well done introduction. One is left understanding why the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Authors are not "authorities" in the subject of fossils.
Note: the author Gary Parker is a biologist/zoologist NOT a paleontologist focused on the study of fossils and ancient life. His co-author, his wife, is a museum curator. This book places dinosaurs and humans on earth at the same time. It takes Scripture references and modern news reports out of context to support weak arguments about God's creation. A fundamentalist...

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive perspective on Noah's Flood!, June 3, 2008
This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
This book is perspective-broadening. It is a wonderful presentation harmonizing Noah's Flood with dinosaur fossil evidence. It is written in a way that is easy to consider and comprehend for children 9-12 or for grown ups who are just beginning to study creation from a scientific view point. It truly is a well done introduction. One is left understanding why the evolutionists are dismissing the inaccuracies of uranium testing and why they are overlooking the obvious sediment evidence.

For those who want to further research fossil evidence in favor of the flood and creation there is a suggested readings list within this book towards the back.

Its only brief weak area is one sentence on page 56. The so-called plesiosaur-like carcass of a basking shark caught by the Japanese fishermen in 1977 looks as if it had been rotting for weeks when you see the actual picture of it. This book is not about present day dinosaur sightings however. It is about post-flood evidence supporting the Christian timeline of our earth. The factual and logical way it is presented is just fabulous!

5.0 out of 5 stars A marvelous children's book, June 16, 2011
This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
This is a children's book that I read aloud to our children. They thoroughly enjoyed it as did I. A couple of years later, I had them read it again on their own. It is written from a Biblical perspective and makes understanding fossils very easy.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
I am a homeschooled child and part of my science was this book. I thought it to be VERY HELPFUL!!! It was easy for me to understand and all the harder words in the book the main character at that time will ask. Still I would recomend this for kids from about 2nd grade and up. It was wonderful to learn about the dinosaurs from a christian point of veiw and I personally liked it and will look forward to reading it again and again in my own time.(plus it is very intresting and not boring like most textbooks that people use these ways) Recomended for Christians and Catholics (or other people who belive in Jesus, God, and the holy spirit.) because mentions things in Bible alot. THANK YOU GARY E AND MARY M PARKER (AND THEIR CHILDREN)!!!!!!! (=

4.0 out of 5 stars Homeschooler in Indiana, May 18, 2001

This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
This is a great cartoon-style overview of more recent explanations about how the Bible fits well with the fossil record. The text is conversational, as if the author (a paleontologist) were inviting us to travel with him and his family as they explore fossil beds across the U.S. and Canada. Much information is given. I give it four stars because it's a little difficult to follow in places and probably needs a little explanation when reading it to a younger child. It would help for the parent to already be informed about some of the topics in order to answer more specific questions their child might have. Fun illustrations!

5.0 out of 5 stars We loved it. Interesting for the kids and gets across a great message., February 14, 2011

We enjoyed this book very much. The Kids especially. Kids are bombarded with one sided, evolution only, science these days. There are many views and if you have a view of Creation than you should be sharing that with your children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource Confirming the Flood, October 5, 2005
This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
This book is very engaging and effective in giving young students an understanding of the world impact of the Biblical Flood. It is well illustrated and provides simple experiments such as to visualize the outcome of post-flood soil layers. I highly recommend it for all Christian parents as a first step in understanding the historical and scientific truths of the Bible.

Me, my mom, my brother and sister read "Dry Bones and Other Fossils" by Dr. Gary Parker. I thought this was a very good book. You should read it because it teaches us about how evolution and creation are completely different. I rate this book five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful engaging book from a bibilical perspective., March 21, 2009

This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
I am a homeschooling mom and purchased this book for my 8 year old, as we have had problems finding factual info without delving into evolutionary theories. This book did a wonderful job of answering questions in a manner that was easy for my son to understand and from a biblical basis. He enjoyed the illustrations, and he read and re-read this book in most of his spare time for the first week after we received it. I love this book and would advise anyone who is studying or is interested in fossils to get this book.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Dry Bones and Other Fossils (Hardcover)
This book is very good because it is a switch off book. That means that a kid reads and then a dad reads. It tells how God brought the Flood and made the fossils.
