I have been skateboarding for over 30 years and I own 14 skateboards (12 are longboards-I'm 43 after all!) I'm in the process of converting ALL my boards to these bearings. So far I have 8 boards with these bearings and I could not be happier. They are fast and durable and less than half the cost of ceramics. I'm not aware of any bearings that come anywhere close to matching these in terms of performance and value. Don't waste a $100 on ceramics-GET THESE.

These bearings go so fast you'll be scared. This is a good thing. Don't forget the parachute.

I bought these bearings as a replacement for my old ones. Man have I been blown away! I have a Sector 9 longboard on which I have Gullwing Mission 1 Trucks. I used to have Sector 9 Greaseball (Abec 5) bearings and 61mm 78A clear wheels. Now I purchased these Bones Super Swiss 6 bearings and 75mm Big Zigs and I have been really impressed! I can go over practically any surface (save for stairs/curbs or water) and not lose any momentum! Sticks and rocks are thrown out of my wake (unfortunately sometimes into people :P). If you're looking to upgrade your longboard, these will surely impress you.

These Bones Swiss 6 bearings are good bearings. I followed the routine maintenance instructions and the bearings stayed quiet and moderately fast. I skated the bearings for a year and there were less of the usual kinked shields, twisted cages, or pitted races/balls that slow most bearings down after a while. The bearings were more durable, and, if kept lubricated, quieter, but they were not significantly faster than most bearings out there, all else being equal. I've found that, with the right wheels for the surface you're on, most decent bearings will accelerate and glide nicely. It is just that the Bones Swiss 6 maintain their high level of performance for a longer time than other bearings. I found the maintenance needed to keep these bearings going was high: every 2-4 weeks, usually about the time when I would be getting new wheels anyway, I would clean and lubricate the bearings, and this constant cleaning got to be a hassle. The Bones Swiss Labyrinth bearings are better in this regard, going a lot longer between cleanings and still giving high performance.

Okay,

I bought my first set of Bones 6s two years ago. After I put them in I had to adjust my skating style because my board wanted to get ahead of me. I was used to having to lean over my left shoulder (Regular footed) because of several years of using crap bearing ABEC 3, 7, 9, Tensor, Pig, Shortys, Luckys... You name'em I tried'em.

I first tried the Bones Redz because they were pretty cheap and I was looking for the set I wouldn't have to replace, or worry about flat dented balls, or cleaning all the time. The Redz were, by far, better than anything I had tried to date, but they weren't quite right. So my next set was the Bones 6s...

I'm telling you, $45 bucks may seem stupid money for bearings, but they roll like a dream! These things have surpassed every expectation and continue to give performance and take abuse like nobody's business. I would give them every star in the universe, but Amazon only has five.

BUY THESE!!! NOW!!!

Bones swiss super 6 are the best bearings i've ever skated. They allow you to travel further with less energy. I had rocknron ballistec missile bearings before I got these but the bones are far and away the better bearing. The 6 ball design is what really sold me on them and the fact that bones bearings are considered the best by skaters the world over. You can't go wrong with these bearings.

I already have a set of standard Bones Swiss, but since I was putting together a longboard with smaller wheels, I decided to get slightly faster bearings to make up for it. These definately firt the bill, and the with the cheap $35.00 price and free shipping that Amazon offers, you can't go wrong. These may seem dissappointing at first, but after about 3-5 hours of riding, they'll break in and go very fast. Overall very reccomendable to anyone in the skateboard world.

I've had these on my board for a few races now, and a bunch of sessions. They roll farther, longer, faster, and smoother than all my other friends setups using regular Reds or other brands. Hands down at this $39.50 price point I cannot think of a better bearing for the money. The 6ball design really reduces friction and the results speak for themselves. Some people argue that bearings make no difference or not enough difference to factor into the performance of your board..but I've proven to myself and quite a few others that a good bearing can go a long way. I start at the back of the group behind my friends and finish far ahead. Every run. Just a great bearing. I'll be buying a set for every deck I run. I highly recommend getting the Bones Cleaning bottle and some speed cream. These stay cleaner longer than regular reds because of the shields, but keeping them clean keeps them fast.

Edit: After having the these same set of Bones SS 6Balls on my downhill board for over a year..they are still the best bearings I have ever ridden and especially for their price here on Amazon. (They retail for around $60) As this is an update after long periods and many many use, I keep these clean with the Bones bearing cleaning kit (that bottle kit) and use speed cream every time I clean them. I clean them about once every 3 months or if they are particularly covered in grime after rougher surfaces. After over a year of frequent use I still overtake people not using these bearings in many many races, and glide much much longer during prolonged kicking over flat surfaces. If you're kicking around the idea of buying these at all...just buy them. They are excellent quality and sustain excellent performance over time.
