i have a collection of around 25 Christmas cds and this one is by far my favorite! It is rare to find a Christmas song you can dance to, but Boney has given us one in tract 2's, This Christmas. Also, I have heard over a dozen versions of Vince Guaraldi's Christmas Time is Here but none of them has the sultry and romantic feel found here. Curl up by the fireplace with that special someone and let Boney's Funky Christmas set the mood for a romantic holiday evening!

I begin playing Boney's Funky Christmas from December 1st until January 1st. I love it! And I can't even remember how many copies of this CD I have purchased for my friends and family as a pre-Christmas gift. I always give it out a few weeks before Christmas so that they can really have time to enjoy it before the season ends. The entire CD is great, but if I had to pick a favorite track, it would be #9 (God rest ye merry gentlemen), followed by track #7 (Let it snow) as a close (very close) second. So go pick it up...enjoy, and Happy Holidays!

I picked this up when it first came out. EVery Christmas I look forward to pulling this out and giving a few spins. My favorite track is #2 which features great vocals. Also Boney's buddy Rick Braun shares his trumpet on several tunes. There are great ballads and definetly some funky tunes that will make you get up and dance whether you are celebrating Christmas or another holiday.

I am a real bah-humbug Ms Scrooge type, but even I love this Xmas album. I've given it as a gift several times, and my friends always say it became their favorite too.

You have not been on a Sleigh Ride until you take Boney's. His masterful performance of "The Christmas Song" along with "Sleigh Ride" leaves you breathless and yearning for more. There is also a guest appearance by Bobby Caldwell performing "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve." This is the best CD you could have in your Christmas collection, without a doubt!

Since Funky Christmas was released in 1999, this is the ONLY holiday CD I listen to. Five years straight. If you're feeling like Scrooge...put this on...you'll be smiling within minutes.
Really. I start playing it in November...and if truth be told, I'm still listening part of January. Bobby Caldwell's version of" What are you doing New Year's Eve" brings forth visions of a sparkly night...plus enthusiasm for the beginning of the New Year. Oh.. trust me...you'll love it.

This is a great CD by the one and only sax man himself Boney James. He is pure smooth jazz. This Christmas album is no exception. Although on the short side, only 9 tracks, Boney's quality in mixing R&B with typical Christmas song is wonderful and smooth. Key tracks include "This Christmas" and "Sleigh Ride."

It's one of those cd's that makes you bounce and makes the holiday season more enjoyable. Boney James is good... period!

Boney has taken the traditional elevator music sound out of the classics and replaced it with the upbeat style he is famous for!
