4.0 out of 5 stars speaking truth to power, November 6, 2006

This review is from: Bonhoeffer and King: Speaking Truth to Power (Paperback)
I used this book in a first-year seminar entitled 'speaking truth to power' this fall. It is an excellent introduction to the lives and philosohy of Bonhoeffer and King. Roberts has done an excellent job of giving the development of the ideas these social prophets held in a way that allows students to see how such ideas are shaped. Although it is helpful to have a good working understanding of theology and politics, this book is still very useful.
