I read about this on several dog breeders websites. It's active ingredient is Imidacloprid 1.47%. That's the same active ingredient as in K9 Advantix. K9 Advantix kills fleas for a month but it's very expensive, especially if you have more than one dog. The K9 Advantix II contains both imidacloprid and permethrin. Permethrin is what gives it the instant kill if you dog already had fleas. I got both the imidacloprid and the permethrin 10% from amazon very reasonably with free shipping and it really does the trick. The breeders said you mix it five parts imidacloprid to one permethrin. I got a new hair color bottle (also from amazon) to mix it in. You start at the base of the dogs skull and put a thin line down his back to the tip of the tail. Rub it in a little and your done. If it's done monthly as a preventative you don't have to use the permethrin. It's very effective and inexpensive compared to those little tubes of spot treatment flea and tick control. You can also use it on cats but only the imidacloprid. Permethrins are dangerous to cats. You don't need as much for cats. Draw up about two cc's in a syringe and put it on the back of the cats head at the base of the skull just as you would a spot treatment flea killer. Once a month is all you need. It's sold under many brand names as a tree and shrub insect contol. Just make sure you get the one that's got Imidacloprid 1.47% as it's active ingredient only and not ones with fertilizers etc. in it. I've been using it for several months now and one bottle has lasted with left overs. It works great. I've seen no bad side affects and you can't beat the price on amazon. I love amazon.com. I live in the country so amazon.com is my shopping mall.

I used this in dilution in a spray bottle on all my tender tropical plants outdoors. I had an issue with japanese beetles eating my banana tree, but this stopped them in their tracks! The next day I found many beetle bodies and other bugs littered amongst and could not have been more pleased. Everything around it was DEAD, that include pesky aphids thrips and white flies for indoor plants! This does NOT work for spider mites though, and they get rather out of control without competition so you will need to still spray the plant with a soap and or pyretherin, etc.

Also VERY IMPORTANT - do NOT use this on ANYTHING that flowers, or you will contribute to the local bee death problem!! This WILL kill MANY bees and any other pollinator.

I personally do not feel comfortable with using this on any food product unless it is very early in it's life cycle as well, that is my opinion. It is systemic so it gets into every leaf/fruit/twig/root/etc.

It took me 2 applications, but this stuff completely rid me of bagworms and saved 12 leyland cypruss that looked like they were ready to be shredded. It's highly concentrated, so I even have a LOT left over.

I was very pleased with this product.

I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of fungus gnats in my house. I have dozens of houseplants. This is the ONLY thing that really works. It also comes in granular form , although less concentrated, if you don't want to mess with mixing the concentrate with water.

This is designed for trees and shrubs, a concentrated 1.47% imidacloprid solution, which must be diluted with water before use. A little goes a long way!! You can use it for houseplants also, but you have to dilute to one (or two) teaspoons per gallon of water. I order it here to get the high concentration, and not mixed with other pesticides or fertilizer. Home depot sells products with the same ingredient, but less concentrated, and including other unnecessary ingredients. I use it as a soil drench.

I also like to spray Monterey Take Down All Natural Insecticide - Pint Concentrate LG6240 containing natural pyrethrin bug killer, at the first sign of bug infestation, because it kills on contact. Imidacloprid is a more long term solution, so I use both.

I personally don't use imidacloprid on fruit or vegetables, as it's a rather toxic pesticide.

Price point is perfect , product produces amazing results against all sorts of garden nuisances . Three applications in 3-4 day intervals and my pests were eliminated. I have 80% left and waiting although I doubt they will come back. Smart investment even if for preventative maintainence.

For pine adelgid among other insects that common products do not kill, this does. It can be used as a foliar spray as well as a soil drench. For foliar applications the rate is only 1.5 teaspoons of product per gallon when using a hand-pump, spray-tank. Very good value for your money.

Very trust worthy drench-so easy and effective it healed my quanzan cherry tree from ALL borers. That would have ended up killing it, I didnt notice the problem till almost too late, but thank goodness for Bonide It killed them anyway. I now use all their products

I started using this product on my Linden tree, which is attacked by Japanese beetles every summer. This product really works. Just mix it up in water, feed it to the roots 2xs a year, and you will see a big drop in tree damage.
