The press makes great coffee and I've had no problems with the beakers. I've had mine for almost a year with no problems outside of the screws on the handle coming loose. That's a quick fix and didn't affect the performance of the product.

I broke the glass carafe of my press, and would like to buy a Lexan carafe so this doesn't happen again. However, the only way to get a Lexan carafe is to buy a new press with a Lexan carafe. This is a little silly and a little wasteful. I love my press, though.
