5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Hardcore late 2004, December 20, 2011
This review is from: Bonkers 13 (Audio CD)
As you can tell from the cover, this was a special Halloween release. One great thing about this album is that Resist dropped Breeze & Styles and brought back DJ Dougal! Another great thing about this album is that it's clear to see that the cheese in Happy Hardcore is making a come back!

DJ Hixxy's mix: This mix is titled "Hixxy's Old Skool Killer Kuts", and it's just that...cuts of tracks. The tracks have been shortened, and the mixing in and out of each track is quickly done. Some of tracks were featured on past Bonkers' releases, but the majority of the tracks were not.

DJ Sharkey's mix: Freeform with "Adagio" being my fav. track.

Scott Brown's mix: Probably the best mix I own from the man. Full on bouncey, jolly tunes with some Gabber at the end. The tempo is pretty decent (~177 bpm), and the mixing is nicely done. My top track on here would have to be "The Reason". The vocalist is the same vocalist that sung "Everytime I Close My Eyes", but sadly, this particular track is the last track she vocalled for.

DJ Dougal's mix: Well, Dougal's back, and as with past mixes, has the slowest in the bundle, but this is deemed as one of the best mixes by Dougal on the Bonkers series. Loads of vocal cheese for the mix, especially the staple anthem "Through The Darkness(Dougal & Gammer Remix)". Honestly, I would say this whole cd is chocked full of anthems, with the stale track in the mix being "Makin' Me Wanna Dance(Sy & Unknown Remix)".

Well, 2004 shown us that the ravers want the cheese in Hardcore back, and this cd delivers it. 2005 continues on this cheese trend with album projects such as Hardcore Nation and the new Hardcore Heaven series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unstoppable, July 5, 2005
All Bonkers CDs are compulsory listening for the Hardcore fan (although usually I prefer the Sharkey and Scoot Brown CDs rather than Dougal ones)

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good CDs, April 17, 2005
The Hixxy mix is old skool breakbeats which is pretty nice, i dont care for the Sharkey mix. The Scott Brown mix is cool, the style of it varies as the mix goes on and Dougals mix is full of happy tracks. Overall this is a good compilation with various hardcore styles. you should get it.
