5.0 out of 5 stars The best bonkers yet? You bet!, July 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bonkers V.3 (Audio CD)
If you're after some happy hardcore, this is one of the best compilations that I have heard (Aside from the rest of the bonkers series). Hixxy returns with more great bouncy tunes, Dougal makes a debut appearance on the label with his own variety of happy beats, and Sharkey is in there again with unique audio apleanty. If you like to drive about with the sound turned up loud and the windows down, or just a quiet chava rave in your bedroom this should do the trick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Hardcore from 1997, June 3, 2003
This review is from: Bonkers V.3 (Audio CD)
Bonkers vol.3 is deemed as the stand out volume (in a good way) in the Bonkers series. This is the 1st Bonkers to introduce DJ Dougal to the line up, and no one else could have been a better pick (excpet maybe Brisk). Even though Bonkers vol.2 came out in early 2007, this album shows a more overall showcase of the sound of Happy Hardcore in 1997.

DJ Hixxy's mix: The first thing you'll notice about this mix...it's slower than the previous 2. The mix starts off with an awesome remix of Hixxy's "Together Forever". This is also the only album that contains the track "Return to Toytown". Some top anthems on this mix include "Glaxy", "Power Of Love(The Digital Boy Italian Rave Mix)", "Fly Away", "Starry Night", and "Cloudy Daze". This is also the first Bonkers to feature the artist Bang!. There is also some Dutch Happy Hardcore on the mix as well with 4 Tune Fairytales' "Take Me To Wonderland", which is also another great anthem. The mix drops off to a darker edge towards the end.

DJ Sharkey's mix: Full on Trancecore. Awesome mixing, but just not my cup of tea.

DJ Dougal's mix: Dougal knows how to pick a great track listing! Prepare yourself for vocal cheese!! The top track on this mix to me is "Follow The Sun (90 in the Shade Mix)". This is the slowest mix in the bundle, but the happiest. Some anthems include: "Dancing In The Rain", "Have It All", "Re-Create Creation" "Jump A Little Higher", and "Follow Me".

This release has reached Gold status in sales, so be sure to get a copy to add to your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars I thougt the c.d was brilliant!!, September 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bonkers V.3 (Audio CD)
I'm a girl and first got introduced to this music through some boy friends.I borrowed a c.d off of them and loved it straight away. The tunes are wicked and make you feel like going out to a rave. Since then I've already purchased 2 Bonkers c.d and I'm looking to buy another one soon!! Out of all of them I'd recommend bonkers 3, not only is it my favourite, but its got a good variety of different tunes and it will definately make you feel happy!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Buy it for SHARKEY!, December 10, 1999
This review is from: Bonkers V.3 (Audio CD)
Sharkey's mix is the main reason to buy the CD. His mixing and track selection is absoluteley superb. This is the future of hardcore. This is not happy or cheesy. Trancecore? FREEFORM ALL THE WAY.

Hixxy returns with some nice, happy tracks. His scratching skills and his incredible track selection can cheer up anyone's day while adding that extra dose of energy.

The only reason why I give this comp 4 starts instead of 5. I could have done without Dougal's mix. Although there are those who worship him like a deity, he falls far behind Hixxy in terms of quality Happy Hardcore. Although it might stand fine on it's own, compares with Hixxy, he just doesn't cut it.
