From a cheapskate -- its worth the money,

I buy most of my groceries from a discount-outlet store. I can always find some good and cheap jam/jellies there.
But this is a step up. The blueberries in here are real. It takes me back 40 years to when I ate wild blueberries off the bushes in Maine. The mixture is sweet, but the blueberry taste comes through. Its not like flavored sugar. There is no better review I can give than to say I'm willing to pay the price for these preserves. There are rather few products I can say that about. As another reviewer of a related product says, this and some natural peanut butter make for a great sandwich. As an experienced giant warehouse store shopper, I'm buying more while they have it. The product I bought 6/08 is "good" until 3/10, but being preserves would last even longer -- but it's not long for this world anyways, since it's so good.

The blueberry preserves are incredibly good-tasting, and can be used for practically ANYTHING....from a peanut butter sandwich to an ice-cream topping. Also, no nasty additives, and that makes this product EXTRA-SPECIAL in my book!

Being Healthy and caring about the type of stuff you eat doesn't mean you have to be boring. My wife and I have been paying too much for this in our local grocery store (big chain)and I was extremely happy to see it picked up my Amazon.com
The preserves themselves are amazing. good size blueberries and while yes, the sugar content is a tad high, I'm just thankful it's actual sugar and not High Fructose Corn Syrup. Which is what we try the most to steer clear of and what steered us towards these preserves in the first place. Another plus is it's made in France. If I ever meat Bonne Maman I hope to give her a nice French Kiss.

My husband got me this as a gift for Christmas. These blueberries are so delicious and lovely on anything at all (or straight out of the jar). I use them on toast, english muffins, blueberry pancakes, crackers... They make life a little sweeter (and yes with real sugar). I will be using this as gifts in the future.

Love Bon Maman but Over priced on Amazon,
This review is from: Bonne Maman Wild Blueberry Preserves, 13-Ounce Jars (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I LOVE the product but hate the price! I have been purchasing Bonne Maman Preserves for years from our local grocery store. I was looking to purchase the blueberry in large qty so I figured I might get a better deal online, however sadly disappointed. Our local store sells one 13oz jar for $3.99. That is about half the price amazon is selling it for! I am headed to the store!

for a gourmet jam, I expected this to be less sweet and more fragrant. a teaspoon of this stuff is enough to sweeten 6oz of greek yogurt, and greek yogurt is the only kind of yogurt that can stand up to it. it's also alright on a waffle, assuming you skip the syrup. other than that I really don't know what to do with it, the sweetness is just so overpowering.

Everyone who has high expectations for wild blueberry preserves, calm down. This product would be heavenly if sugar content and liquid content are toned down.

Compared to the Raspberry Preserves, this is much sweeter. While my son doesn't seem to mind, I rarely reach for the blueberry preserves.
Flavor is good, and it makes a good ice cream topping. |
