5.0 out of 5 stars a shatteringly beautiful first collection, September 10, 2007
This review is from: Bonneville (Perfect Paperback)
Jenny Mueller's first book of poems, collected from appearances in such magazines as The Atlantic, Denver Quarterly,TriQuarterly and Chicago Review, won the Elixir Prize for Poetry. The poems are by turn lyrical, bleak, frightening, and not afraid to plumb our darkness, public and private. Considered as a body, Mueller's poems are an astonishing annoucement of talent and insight. "We are heading more into fall now, the bloodiness/ surfacing in the trees."
