This CD blew me away. Classy, soulful and the vocals are sublime. If only Jennifer Hudson's CD were half as good as this I might like it better.

I agree with C. Davis' review. Lakisha is a great singer, but she needs a good producer and some good songs. There are thousands of songs that Lakisha can sing (remember what a great job she did with Diamonds Are Forever on American Idol?). She deserves better than this!

LaKisha Jones, who rose to fame when she reached the Top 4 of American Idol's Season 6, is best known for her big-voiced versions of such songs as "And I Am Telling You" and Bon Jovi's "This Ain't A Love Song".

LaKisha is back with her first CD, and she works with talented producers like Grammy Award winner Tony Nicholas, Ro & Sauce and Chris Black. The album focuses on both R&B and Soul music and includes an inspirational song as homage to her strong Gospel roots.

Great music...the first single, "Let's Go Celebrate", is a catchy, danceable, girls' night out song. And she does a great cover of Whitney Houston's "You Give Good Love". There's also a gorgeous soulful ballad, "Same Song", written by renowned songwriter Diane Warren.

I'm so glad LaKisha's back!

find the right management for this production...this CD is tight from beginning to end and it should have received much more play time on the radios. LaKiesha girl fire your management and get with someone who is going to promote your music! I've spread the work in my town.

I have seen her perform week by week at American Idol. I know she can belt the high notes. In general the album is nice but it would be better if she was given songs that would challenge her vocals because she is a certified Diva.

Lakisha has the most beautiful voice of any of the Idol contestants--EVER! I'd love to see her do a retro-type album of some of the Motown songs and include "Midnight Train to Georgia". This CD needs to have more of her voice up front and less electronic-sounding music. Give her some soul, that she just exudes anyway, and add good base, great rhythm, and let that voice boom out there with beautiful background music. Another album I'd be interest in would be a traditional gospel music theme--again showcasing her penetrating, gorgeous low tones. Love that Lakisha!

The vocals are beautiful and a joy to hear. You can listen to the entire CD straight thru and love it.

Can not wait for her next project.

This is a very good albrum she is going to do very well as a futuer female artist.
