PreS. Similar in format and approach to Dunrea's picture books about Gossie, Gertie, and Ollie, these volumes introduce two new goslings. Boo Boo presents a little blue gosling who likes to eat; she walks around the barnyard happily devouring morsels left out for the hens, the goat, and the mouse. When she swallows a soap bubble, she begins burping repeatedly. Afterward, Boo Boo seems a little more discriminating about what she calls "Good food." Peedie features a yellow gosling who is a bit forgetful. Though he always wears his baseball cap, one day he forgets where he put it and searches for it without success. His mother reminds him to do a chore he had forgotten, and Peedie is elated to find his cap. Although the simple stories will please children, it's the cleanly designed and sometimes humorous ink-and-watercolor artwork that gives these small books their irresistible charm. The simple texts make these good choices for new readers. Carolyn Phelan

Dunrea's simply charming ink-and-watercolor art reveals an endearing cast of diminutive critters.
Dunrea's feathered characters have the look and feel of preschoolers rapt in their own discovery of the world.
It is the cleanly designed and sometimes humorous ink-and-water-color artwork that gives these small books their irresistable charm.

he still can't get enough of it.
it's a simple, elegant, cute little book.
The book is small in size making it easy for toddlers to hold and turn the pages. Each page has only one sentence making this easy to read to little ones who have short attention spans. The pictures of various animals will be enjoyed by children of all ages.
I would recommend this book to parents and caregivers of children ages birth to 3. The story is very simple and is one that kids will enjoy hearing over and over again.
The book has a humorous aspect when BooBoo consumes a small blue bubble that's floating by. Once she swallows that single bubble, she's suddenly burping herself all over the pond. This is usually good for a few giggles if your child enjoys burp humor.
The illustrations are sweet and simple.
Our board book has stood up well, but I think this is because BooBoo's friend Gossie has been more of a repeat favorite read.
My disappointment does not lie in the book itself but in the kindle version. The formatting is all messed up. It only shows one page at a time. it had the words as printed as seen in the book addition but also typed in above the illustrations are the words from the previous page?! It's very odd and a bit confusing. We also have this problem with the Peedie book.

Once again I refer you to my review of Ollie the Stomper. Ollie, Peedie and BooBoo should be on the table for every toddler to hold and love. Beautiful books inside and out. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Marilyn Leonard
