About the Author

In between breastfeeding her youngest boy, chasing after her oldest two boys, blogging, speaking, and occasionally sleeping… Meg works with women in her private practice to help them reach their breastfeeding goals. She has a degree in Psychology and was a La Leche League Leader (breastfeeding counsellor) for seven years before becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She writes frequently on her blog about all things breastfeeding and has published articles in numerous parenting magazines and websites. She was recently filmed for a short film documentary titled, “Lactaboobiephobia” that is based on an article she wrote about breastfeeding in public, set to be released in 2015. Meg is passionate about helping women reach their breastfeeding goals and loves helping to get the word out about how women can do this. She comes from the philosophy of gentle parenting, mothering through breastfeeding; and frequently reminds women to follow the lead of their babies, trust their own motherly instincts and encourages women to simply “keep on boobin’”! --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Great book! It was nice to read an alternative to the strict, doesn't fit all, unnatural baby books. Meg spoke to my natural mama instincts.
I recently listened to a podcast that stated depression mainly stems from ones point of view of how life should be. When it's not as we deem it should, then we get depressed. Well, Meg opened my eyes to a new way that life can be, that it's normal, and how to make it better in natural ways that benefit mama and baby.
I can't tell you how many people come up to my husband and I every single day saying how happy our baby is and that's they have never seen a more smiley baby!
I love hearing that! It works!! :)

Meg Nagle, renowned IBCLC (lactation consultant) and blogger at The Milk Meg, is here to provide new parents with the much-needed reassurance that their baby's sleep habits are, in fact, normal. Her book, "Boobin’ All Day… Boobin’ All Night" is a short, sweet bit of sanity in a world that has way too many sleep trainers and baby whisperers.

"Boobin’ All Day… Boobin’ All Night" is a relatively short book, ideal for the sleep-deprived parent who just needs help NOW. Meg covers the essentials. She helps parents understand why it’s completely normal for breastfed babies and toddlers to wake up so much. She talks about why breastfeeding–or boobin’, as she prefers to call it–is often the most surefire way to soothe said baby or toddler, and how breastfeeding to sleep is absolutely not a bad habit. She talks about co-sleeping and bedsharing, and offers guidelines on how to bring baby into your bed–safely–so that everyone can get more sleep. She talks about how routines can work while nursing on-demand, caffeine, the breastfeeding-at-night-causes-cavities myth, and more. She has a relatively in-depth chapter all about night-weaning, for when it’s truly the best option or when it’s simply the right time. She provides all kinds of ideas and methods, tips and tricks that might help parents out with whatever challenge they happen to be facing at any given moment.

Through it all, Meg offers personal anecdotes, warmth, humor, adorable pictures, and plenty of encouragement, which we all need sometimes. Meg has a lot of experience with breastfeeding, both as a lactation consultant and as a mother, and her experience shines through in this lovely little book.

As a baby wearing, cloth diapering, breast feeding, co sleeping, amber teething necklace wearing toddler's hippie mother I want to say that the Milk Meg has given me the resources necessary to continue breast feeding into toddler hood (13months strong). She has offered very reliable and reasonable advice from day. As a breastfeeding advocate and educator I use her blog as my top reference all the time when offering my own advice to friends. Keep up the wonderful work Meg! Thank you!

This is an excellent and funny book ( love the comics! Soooo relatable!) about naturally and gently parenting your breastfeeding child. Meg has helped me feel more confident about mothering through breastfeeding. I always instinctually felt mothering through breastfeeding was right but also received a lot of flack about it as well and felt torn and confused about breastfeeding and parenting. Now that I had read this book, I know that how I am raising my children is right for my family. Highly recommended for a new and seasoned breastfeeding families!

This was a great book for a very tired breastfeeding momma. I felt like I related to almost every sentence. Totally made me feel a little more normal and encouraged me to keep up my breastfeeding journey and bonding with my sweet baby girl.

A great read, this book will be my gift to every mother to be. Meg writes about what has worked for her and each of her babies and explains that mothering is not a one size fits all approach. Her style is unlike any other and I think that's why the message comes across so well. Thank you for putting on paper what every mum needs to hear!

I love this book and I highly recommend it! Even if you are not practicing gentle parenting or attachment parenting, I think this book will help you feel like you are not alone. Unfortunately, breastfeeding mothers are often faced with misinformation and that can cause us to question whether or not what we are doing is right. Meg lays it all out that what we feel to be right while mothering through breastfeeding, is right! It is normal! It is okay! Keep on boobin'! Even though all of my friends breast feed I still wondered if maybe I was doing something wrong with my little one because most of them are already starting to wean or limiting feedings. I realized that it's okay that I am not yet comfortable with doing that yet with my son. I learned that we need to do what is best for him and I versus what everyone else is doing. These moments we have with our infants and toddlers are gone in a blink of an eye and it is important to enjoy them rather than stress about what people are telling us. I found a lot of comfort in this book in knowing that I am not alone in what I am going through and it is the biological norm! Thank you Meg!!!!

I love this book!! It's so helpful with the breastfeeding family. It's great to know that my instincts are right. I love that there was stuff Mr. The Milk had said. The breastfeeding relationship involves dad too. I would recommend this book to any nursing moms and dads.
