Fun & challenging rhythm based game,

When doing research before purchasing this game, I found NO helpful information regarding what it was about and the back of the case was no help at all either. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised.
This is a rhythm based game where your characters or "boogs" perform dance moves to popular songs that most of us have heard before, all of which are cover songs. Each boog is customizable and there are TONS of unlockables for such. You must hit the move on the beat in order to get points. To perform moves, you slide your stylus in different directions to make your character move to the beat. You can also perform different moves with the +control pad if you prefer. There is a helpful tutorial in all three difficulty modes as well as a practice mode. You can customize each character with clothing, hair, etc. There are many unlockable items including mini games and accessories for customization. Most of the music is catchy and I found not to be too annoying. It can be quite challenging and isn't as simple as it may sound. If you enjoy rhythm based games, you should give this game a try. It sort of reminded me of Elite Beat Agents, which I absolutely loved. That game was quite a challenge as well and didn't have near as many mini games and other features. Of note: It is not stated on the ad for the DS version of Boogie, but If you've got friends with a copy of the game and their own Nintendo DS system, up to four players can link up wirelessly and compete in any of the unlocked songs. The best part is, there's also a fully-featured Download Play mode - it only allows for two players, but once connected you can play through any of the songs in the game under Copycat, Freestyle and Choreography mode. The load time is long, but that's a small price to pay to play Boogie multiplayer with only one copy of the game. I hope this has provided a helpful review. For the price of this game, it's really a bargain and overall, I'm glad I purchased it.

I bought this as a gift for my little cousing after reseaching reviews, and the game is spectacullar. I didn't notice in the details, but it comes with 3D glases, even thought the game doesn't displays everything in 3D, you can play it without the glasses as well.
The game is very funny and has a great song list, great for kids and early teens.
