This is an excellent cd to introduce yourself to Swingingberger's playing. Unlike many of the european boogie pianists Axel's timing is impecable and the recording is very clean for a live performance. This is good stuff and it can be listened to for hours on end without ear fatigue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great playing, September 28, 2007

This review is from: Boogie Woogie Live (Audio CD)
This is a great live performance from 1985. It is all solo Piano and Zwingenberger plays in a number of different boogie styles. I saw him in 2006 at the Brecon Jazz Festival and this recording is a very good representation of the his undoubted talent. If you like Boogie Woogie you will like this. Theres a great atmosphere and he is one of the finest exponents of this Piano style around.
