About the Author
Hussain Mohammed Al-Amily was born in 1927 in Najaf, Iraq to a Lebanese clergy father and an Iraqi mother. He spent his formative years in both countries. He traveled widely throughout the Arab world and has lived in France, Germany and Great Britain. In his early years he was a wandering preacher among the peoples of Iraq for whom he has great affection. He is a founder member of the Iraqi Translators' Society, Baghdad, and the author of several works on Arabic culture.
