Book Description

October 31, 2007
Book-Art follows on from the success of CD-Art, DVD-Art and Mag-Art. The area of book design and art is a continually evolving area, where new and innovative design is constantly being explored.

The book explores the creative inspiration behind the work, such as typography, materials, printing techniques, photography and backgrounds and bleeds, as well as the practical considerations and restrictions.

It looks at the book industry as a whole, to provide a wider perspective on emerging trends and what makes a successful book. This definitive volume will therefore arm designers with the tools necessary to create innovative and exciting books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice books weird design, June 24, 2008

This review is from: Book-Art: Innovation in Book Design (Hardcover)
The books contained in this book are fabulous, but the book itself has some ugly pages with unresolved maximalism. With empty interviews, brief explanations on the books and boring graphics I can't give it more than a 3.
