4.0 out of 5 stars Ancient but Current Wisdom, February 17, 2005

This review is from: The Book of Balance (Paperback)
The Book of Balance is an ancient Taoist text, and ancient as it is there have been many translations, and this is one of the more recent ones by Yasuhiko Kimura. Both for experts in these texts as well as first-time readers, they will acknowledge the lightness and transparancy of this translation. As has been said before about this text, that the words and text are simple, but its daily application is hard. Well, Kimura has succeeded in making the words even lighter, dancing in the wind, and although representing ancient wisdom, applicable in our day-to-day life. I get up every morning and read one page, for inspiration, for enjoyment and guidance for the rest of the day. I truly can recommend this text to you, to read and apply it to your own life.
