This book was a wonderful introduction to the history of buttons and the variety and beauty of a generally overlooked accessory.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and have used it as a resource on many occasions, as an amateur collector and when sewing. I was fortunate enough to meet the author, at her stall at Covent Garden in London, as an Australian tourist, and found her as delightful and interesting as her book.

The information is general in nature, with some history but I loved seeing how different buttons enhanced the same fabrics. The detail is very sharp with vivid color.
