This book is an excellent "manuscript". It displays incredibly fluid and detailed pencil illustrations with a vivid commentary about the existence of dragons and unicorns. Beautiful - a must-have for anyone who likes mystical creatures!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wisdom, Whimsy, and Intrigue, March 14, 2006

The Book of the Dragontooth is a beautifully illustrated riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. You can follow the path of the hero Magnalucius and visit the "Stations of the Dragontooth." If you are correct in your reasoning, you may even be able to aquire a token Dragontooth of your own. However, the journey is its own reward. The book has many layers of meanings, and you receive from it what you bring to it. It is a distillation in ink of a lifetime of experience and illumination. It is an Odyssey for the reader, though easy to read. The riddles are knit together with crow-quill calligraphy, careful sigils, and faithfully-rendered dragons, and they are woven as well as any cloister's famous tapestries. If you like dragons--or if you fight them--then this Book should be on your shelf or coffee table.
