Wow ! A thousand and one bravos to Zaza for putting together this beautiful collection. The music is a true blend of east and west, uniquely modern, yet with a Persian flavor. The lyrics are beautiful. Thanks Zaza for introducing the Shahnameh to the world of music !

Book of kings succeeds in conveying the dreamy and mythical aspect of 'Shahnameh'. It is original and unpretentious. It does not stretch the possibility and remains relevant to todays taste. It evokes long forgotten textures and ambiences in my dearest of memories.ZaZa's voice reminds me of Mary Black. This is my initial exposure to a seemingly talented group of artists and I have enjoyed it immensely so far. It is just right.

Congratulations to ZaZa on the new album! It is beautiful. I can imagine how dedicated ZaZa has been to this project and how hard she worked to interpret the feeling and the personality of 'Shahnameh' (Book of Kings) into this exotic and harmonious collection of words and melodies, and to do it in English! Great production with rich sonic landscapes and dream like vocals.The Middle Eastern influence and the modern Western sounds are well blended leaving a mood of misticism in the air.The percussion is powerfull,solid,colorfull and along with the rich harmonies creates a nice foundation for ZaZa's hipnotic vocals.It's definitly an album to sit back, light some inscense, candles and embark in a journey of sonic extasy.
