This review is from: The Book of Life (Paperback)
I have not finished reading this book. But so far I love the authors writing. Too bad he passed away in 1967, I would of loved to have given him praises for this book. The Book of Life is about a young boy growing up in England. The book reads like a person who is living the life of a prince. There is always adequate meals, however the story is about confomity to many values that the rich live by, including sexual values. The book notes till about how his uncle keeps a book called "The Book of Life" which is about who gets an inheritance and the amounts. Kind of like a will. At anytime, the uncle could scratch any name off the book if they are not conforming to his views of how a person should behave and think. So far that is what I have gleaned from the book.
